About

Lloyd is a wedding saxophone soloist based in Newport, Wales. He has a bachelor of music degree from Cardiff University and a master of music degree in woodwind performance from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Lloyd made his West End debut in December 2020, performing as part of the London Musical Theatre Orchestra in the musical, A Christmas Carol. Lloyd has also performed at the Royal Albert Hall and New York’s Carnegie Hall.

He offers a range of packages to choose from, so whether you’re looking for music for your ceremony, reception, or after-dinner party, Lloyd has you covered. His LED sax solo act includes a sound engineer, a radio microphone, and backing music. Lloyd can also perform as part of a duo, jazz quartet, or cover band.

What is included in the wedding package?

Lloyd's price includes a fantastic sound engineer who supplies a sound system to suit your venue and ensure the perfect sound. A radio mic enables Lloyd to mix with the crowd and join the party!

How far in advance should I contact you?

Any time! I'm taking bookings up until 2023 and am happy to take last minute bookings if I'm available

For my sax act, I have a huge range of songs, including Ibiza, pop ballads, current chart toppers and 80s hits. I can also perform classical music on the clarinet and flute, perfect for your ceremony

Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire?

Absolutely! I'm always happy to take requests for new music, as long as I have a few weeks notice in advance to arrange and learn the song

What's your experience?

I have been performing my sax act at weddings for 3 years, and have just completed a masters in Woodwind Performance at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama

Can you travel?

Yes, i'm based in South Wales, but am happy to perform all over the UK. I also perform internationally, as long as travel costs and time are covered

Is there a charge for travelling?

Yes, i charge for travel in accordance with the Musician's Union guidelines

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

No

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

With a team

What is the length of time of the act?

I can perform for however long you want! My standard set is 2 x 45 minutes, with a 30 minute break, but I am very flexible and can tailor my performances to suit your day

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

My act is always ready for a performance! If I'm not busy performing at a wedding or in a West End theatre, I'm always busy practising music, and improving for my next performance

Do you do open-air acts?

Yes

Do you charge per hour or per event?

Per event

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

Yes

How do you charge extra time?

My standard charge for 2 x 45 minutes is £400 (£200 per set), and I charge £150 per 45 minute set thereafter

What are the forms of payment?

I normally accept payment via bank transfer, but can accept cheques, Paypal or cash if needed
