Experience

Karen was interested in music at a very young age. After gaining high grades in violin and piano in youth orchestra, at thirteen she joined the London Royal College of Music, where she won the Gordan Turner Prize for Harp and several prizes at other London music festivals. Karen was awarded the exhibition scholarship for the Royal Northern College of music, where she won the David Dunn (Yorke Trust) Prize. She trained in solo, chamber, and orchestral performance, for four years, developing practical and applied skills and graduated as Bachelor of Music (BMus) with honours.
