About

I have been providing piano music for weddings in The Lake District and surrounding areas for over twenty years. I play for the following: the guests' arrival, the wedding ceremony, the drinks reception and the wedding breakfast. I also play for an evening 'wind down' for couples who may prefer a more gentle and relaxed ending to their special day rather than a band or disco.

If you would like more details about the music I can provide for any aspect of your wedding, please contact me for my package brochure.

I also play for weddings throughout Cumbria and surrounding counties: North and West Yorkshire, Lancashire and Durham—and sometimes Southern Scotland, too!

Based in Hawkshead, Cumbria, Peter Brown is a talented and expert pianist, setting a romantic tone for weddings and other joyous occasions.

Do you have your own equipment?

Yes

The length of time I play for is dependent on which package the wedding couple choose. For example, the wedding ceremony alone usually lasts no more than one hour, whereas the wedding br'fast - 3hrs

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

I usually ask couples to send their wedding ceremony music choices at least 1 month prior to the wedding date, to give me time to acquire and learn any new music they may have chosen

Do you do open-air acts?

Yes

Do you charge per hour or per event?

Per event

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

No

How do you charge extra time?

Everything I charge will be stipulated in the Contract. 'Extra time' does not apply as the contract is very specific about timings….my arrival time, my finishing time, e.g. 'End of Wedding Breakfast'

What are the forms of payment?

Almost always by BACS, or by cheque, payable in advance, usually 2 or 3 months prior to the wedding date, depending on the wedding date. For more than a year away, a deposit of £100 is required
