Prescott Entertainment is a Wedding DJ service located in Watchet, Somerset, just north of Taunton. Owner Ben Prescott and his team have been entertaining clients and their guests for many years. They are passionate about music, and they are known for their professional, down-to-earth approach. Ben and his team understand that a wedding is not just an event; it’s an experience. They want to help you design a celebration that you and your loved ones will remember and cherish for years to come.
In 2022 Prescott Entertainment was proud to be recognised at the Hitched UK Weddings Awards. Prescott Entertainment was the sole winner in its category and named 'Best Wedding DJ & Music Company' in Somerset.

What is included in the wedding package?
We have a range of services to choose from to create bespoke and personalised wedding packages perfect for your wedding day. All of our extras are available to hire with a Professional Wedding DJ
How far in advance should I contact you?
The sooner you contact us the better. We have always operated on a first come first served basis however on average couples book a year in advance

Is there a charge for travelling?
Yes, this is worked out on an individual quote basis depending how far we will need to travel

What is the length of time of the act?
The length of our performance can be based around your requirements however most weddings choose a performance time of 7PM-12AM for the evening but we also offer All Day Services
How much time do you need to prepare for an act?
Our setup time takes roughly 1 hour but this can alter between different venues
Do you do open-air acts?

Do you charge per hour or per event?
Per event
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
Yes
How do you charge extra time?
Extra time will be worked out between the client and the DJ. Any extension to performance must be approved by the venue manager

Ben was amazing at our wedding. We discussed with him the music we would like and on the day it was exactly what we asked for. Ben created a wonderful, fun atmosphere where everyone was on the dance floor.

Incredible dj!
We cannot recommend Prescott Entertainment enough. We had met Ben at a couple of weddings we had attended, and we knew straight away he was going to be the DJ for us. The dancefloor was absolutely packed from start to finish, Ben knew exactly what to play and at what time. He catered for all of our guest across all ages, and also took on board our requests in the run up to the day. We have had so many guests tell us that they had never heard such a great mix of a playlist at a wedding, we honestly had an absolute ball. Ben was so great at getting everyone involved, and his uplighting package at Crowcombe Court made the room look amazing!
We can't thank you enough for being a part of our big day, we would absolute recommend you to everyone!!

Excellent DJ
We hired Ben as our DJ for our wedding and he was excellent from enquiry to the actual day. He’s super friendly, professional and flexible. We gave him a playlist which he stuck to on the day, as well as taking requests from guests. He really got loads of people up and dancing. Ben also really helped out and stayed calm when we had a couple of minor issues, making the day super easy for us.

Best DJ, we couldn’t have asked for more!
Ben was an absolutely fantastic wedding DJ! He created a brilliant party atmosphere and played all of our requested songs. We had great communication from Ben in the lead up to our wedding. Can’t recommend him highly enough.

What can I say apart from Ben at Prescott Entertainment is a league of his own!
We hired him for our wedding at Coombe Lodge in April this year. As well as hiring him for wedding DJ we also hired LOVE sign, wireless up lighters and magic mirror from him.
From start to finish Ben was incredible professional. He booked in a virtual meeting with us a few weeks before the big day to go though the running of the evening and to talk about music genres we would like and any particular timings for announcements such as fireworks and cutting of the cake.
On the big day he arrived with loads of time to spare, dealt with our wedding coordinator about the room and setting up while all staying out of sight of the guests.
Come to the evening and you can tell Ben is a professional with years of experience, he knows how to work the room and get people on the dance floor even while breaking up the night to stop for fireworks. Ben managed to keep the dance floor full all night and the amount of compliments we had the following day about him was amazing!
Following on from the wedding Ben got back in touch to congratulate us and send us the awesome pictures from the magic mirror.
I would highly recommend Ben for any event you hold as he is beyond good at what he does!

Superb Service!
My husband and I were thrilled with the service that Ben provided for our wedding. He was friendly, professional and clearly very experienced. He took our music tastes on board and respected what we did and didn’t want to hear at our wedding reception. We wouldn’t hesitate to book him again, and would definitely recommend him!

Fantastic Service and perfect night
Ben was our DJ for our Wedding on the 28th September. He was extremely helpful and accommodating throughout.
He played a playlist of songs we requested as well as his own. There wasn’t a time where no one was on the dance floor. We have had lots of compliments about him and the music on the night.
I wouldn’t think twice to recommended him to any other couples or events that require a DJ.

A* amazing!
We hired Ben for our wedding back in April 23. He was super helpful with choosing our music, timings, set up etc! He was on time, professional and just everything we asked for! Ben played a range of music that catered for every one of our guests! They all loved it! I would definitely book Ben again for any other events. Ben played exactly what we asked for and he was engaged with our guests and just made the evening really fun! 100% recommend!

Unreal DJ!
Ben was an absolutely incredible DJ at our wedding. We had so many comments from guests about how good he was! From the initial planning stage, to the big day itself, he was very receptive to our ideas and what we wanted the vibe to be. He was very involved in the night, even using what he heard during the speeches to influence song choices later in the night. He happily played until 2am, much to the delight of our guests, and even accommodated a significant location change midway through the night. We also had an issue with our PA system at the venue, but Ben solved the problem by letting us use his microphone and speakers for the speeches. We also had a very particular request for our first dance song, something he was very enthusiastic about and encouraging of. His rate was also very, very reasonable in my opinion. We are not from the area but if we ever host an event again in Ben’s patch, we will 100% be hiring Prescott Entertainment!!

Great DJ absolutely recommend
A great choice of music including our own requests, our guests loved the music and we all had fun dancing the night away. The DJ was friendly and happy to take a few requests. We especially loved the coloured up lights which transformed the inside and outside of our venue.

Amazing dj
Ben was quick to respond to our messages, and offer quotes.
We chose Ben based on what we had seen of him in our local community doing events and his enthusiasm to be our DJ for our big day.
We are so glad we did choose Ben, he was entertaining all night long. Even when there was only 6 of us left standing at the end of the night..
