The perfect soundtrack to our wedding

I cannot recommend Matt highly enough. He made having live music for our wedding easy, stress-free, and, on-the-day, a complete joy to listen to.

Matt's playing is beautiful, and many of our guests brought up the music he played throughout the day as a highlight. He has an impressive repertoire, but what is most impressive about Matt is his willingness and enthusiasm to learn new pieces. He played all of our favourite songs, learning some for the first time, and songs that our guests recognised with surprise and delight. A particular highlight was him playing a song from the debut album of one guest, the lead singer and pianist of the band Exploring Birdsong. She was pleasantly surprised...

He has an impressive repertoire, but what is most impressive about Matt is his willingness and enthusiasm to learn new pieces. He played all of our favourite songs, learning some for the first time, and songs that our guests recognised with surprise and delight. A particular highlight was him playing a song from the debut album of one guest, the lead singer and pianist of the band Exploring Birdsong. She was pleasantly surprised to hear another artist playing her music. Matt never made it feel like an imposition to ask for a particular piece; in fact, he leapt at the chance to learn something new. A true musician's musician.

Matt's music was crucial to the running of our day. Having never been married before, nor been involved in the organisation of one, having Matt there as an experienced musician provided cues for both my wife and I and our guests on when to talk, stand, sit, and speak. He got on with setting up his equipment and moving it as necessary without intervention from either me or the rest of the wedding party, making one less thing to worry about.

If you want top class piano and service at your event, book Matt before someone else does!

Perfect addition to our ceremony and reception!

Having Matt play at our wedding was an absolute joy and made for beautiful listening! The songs for our ceremony were mostly all new to Matt but were all played faultlessly and it made our ceremony even more memorable! 100% recommend for any event not just a wedding!

Perfection

Matt elevated our perfect day, and played all our requested tunes and more! Guests were impressed with his range and talent, and having him perform during our ceremony and reception made it so much more personal and special. From Taylor Swift to John Williams, it was all amazing. He had to relocate three times (with all his equipment) due to the weather, and nothing was too much of an inconvenience. We strongly recommend Matt.

Absolutely Fantastic!

Piano Matt was fantastic during the lead up to and on our wedding day. Nothing was too much to ask. He created a completely bespoke package for us and was so adaptable, understanding and responded to our messages very quickly! He was amazing and we had so many compliments about his music on the day! He sang our first dance song and it was magical. I would 1000% recommend him to anyone thinking for an amazing pianist.

We knew from the beginning of our wedding planning that we wanted a pianist for the day, I contacted Matt and he was very quick to respond and transparent with his pricing. We discussed the music we wanted for our wedding and Matt even sent over some videos of him playing those pieces. He was very easy to communicate with and incredibly responsive to emails which always puts you at ease. Matt learned some new pieces for our ceremony music and was incredible, having him play our ceremony music meant me and my bridesmaids didn't have to think or worry about the music timings- Matt worked his magic and put sections together seamlessly. Perfect Piano Accompaniment To Our Day

After our original supplier having to let us down for personal reasons, we were really concerned about choosing an alternative option. But right from our first call with Matt, we knew we'd landed firmly on our feet as he listened to our ideas, suggested things that would work well and was completely chilled whilst talking to us. Over a few months, we had plenty of back and forth over email as we shaped our final ideas for the ceremony and drinks reception, he was open to every suggestion and delighted to be able to have some freedom to add his own tweaks or our playlist. He worked with Rachel to get the perfect aisle mashup of Abba songs and...

Perfect - A wonderful addition to our reception & ceremony

We booked Matt to play piano for the ceremony & reception at our wedding this year, & he played a huge role in making the day so brilliant.

We contacted Matt initially when looking for a musician to play at our wedding, & were blown away by how keen he was to make sure our experience was exactly what we wanted.

What we liked most was that Matt took the time to really understand what we were looking for, & we feel like he definitely understood us & matched the "vibe" perfectly. Matt is also a really lovely guy & our guests who spoke to him all commented on this - he even took some requests during the drinks reception, so he stayed flexible even on the day!

Finally - his piano set up looks really sleek & would fit well in any theme of wedding. It looks great without being too over the top. We didn't have a huge amount of space but Matt's electric piano fit nicely into both the ceremony room & reception area.

In summary, booking Matt for our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. Great value for money & a brilliant overall experience. We would 100% recommend Matt as a great addition to an event, & would happily book him again.

Matt is so incredibly friendly, positive, and flexible, even helping us out with a last minute talk on Zoom on a Sunday evening when we got into a deadline panic.

Then there's Matt's talent - the love that he has for his craft is huge, and the way that he understands music and the piano is astonishing. Matt offered to learn a custom setlist of classical piano interpretations of our song choices, which was the most incredible thing. Just a couple months before the wedding, we asked him how much notice he would need from us to send him the full list of songs we'd like, and whether we'd left it too late. His response was to shrug and say "if a tune can be hummed, then it can be played on the piano - there's only so many chords"! I wish I could have that level of confidence and knowledge about anything in my life 😂 we sent him our (pretty mammoth) playlist, and he said he'd do what he could to work on them and get them perfect - and he really truly did.

With Matt playing throughout our welcome, our ceremony, our drinks reception and our wedding breakfast, there was such a great amount of time for us to enjoy him soundtracking our day, and we would have loved to be able to just sit and listen to more of him!! Our guests, from grandparents to 3 year olds, all absolutely loved the magic that Matt created for us.

There's been no end to the comments from everyone about how much they enjoyed Matt's music. From the moment guests began arriving, he was playing and creating a brilliant atmosphere. And not only was his performance itself fantastic, but his willingness to learn our custom playlist meant that our guests could guess and recognise piano renditions of songs referencing memories, TV shows, films and comedy - it was truly a highlight of our day!

Thank you Matt, for *everything* you did for us in shaping our day, from learning a playlist of 60+ of our weird song choices, to recommending new music artists based on our tastes, and even by bringing along a microphone and PA for us to use for our speeches. One of the friendliest guys you could ever meet, from the first consultation where we chatted about our music styles and what we wanted for our wedding we knew that he would be the person to carry that out for us. We had the ceremony, wedding breakfast and drinks reception package. Our wedding day was absolutely magical, we had an array of music played and it was so lovely to hear it on the piano.
