Biography

An award-winning harpist, composer and vocalist specialising in classical and contemporary styles. Ruth creates bespoke arrangements on the harp to offer a one-of-a-kind event experience. From Coldplay to Mozart and everything in between, Ruth can provide the perfect atmosphere and stunning memory for your event.

Her work has been recognised at many of the leading festivals across the UK, as well as the World Harp Congress. Winner of the Sioned Williams Harp Prize at the United Kingdom Harp Competition, the Iain Macleòid Young Composer Award at the Edinburgh International Harp Festival and the Wales International Harp Festival Competition. A skilled harpist and arranger, Ruth regularly performs for events and sold-out concert audiences. She can also be seen performing for TV/Film, most recently on an American NBC period drama!

About Me

You'll most often find me tucked up in a cosy corner with a cup of hot chocolate and my harp. I love creating new arrangements for this beautiful instrument, breathing new life into them. If I'm not at my harp, I'll be out in the countryside, walking the peaks, taking too many photographs and saying hello to every dog that I pass.

Music is so powerful, often prompting strong memories and emotions. It is my privilege to craft bespoke soundtracks for your special moments. The harp can create the right atmosphere for you and your guests to relax, enjoy yourselves, and even sing along! Whether you're looking for smooth classical music, jazz or pop arrangements, the harp can do it all.

Ceremony & Guest Arrivals

Includes up to 30 minutes of music as the guests arrive and are seated - we can chat about your music preferences and choose from my extensive repertoire list. For the ceremony itself, couples usually choose one song for the entrance, two for the signing, and one for the exit. *Includes four free-choice requests for bespoke arrangements to cover the ceremony music.

Drinks Reception

A bespoke playlist of one hour. Choosing genre(s) and favourite songs/pieces of your choice from my repertoire, I can put together the perfect programme just for you. I'll bring my personal amplification system so that my music easily carries across the space.

Wedding Breakfast

A bespoke playlist of 2 x 50 mins sets with a break in between. As mentioned above, by choosing genre(s) and favourite songs/pieces of your choice from my repertoire, I can put together the perfect programme just for you. I'll bring my personal amplification system so that my music easily carries across the space.
