Get the Party Started

You’ve said “I do”, taken pictures, and shared a meal, now it’s time to let off some steam on the dancefloor. There are a plethora of options when it comes to entertainment at your wedding reception and this is something that couples will occasionally overlook, thinking it’s all much the same. Well, that’s not quite the case, and it’s important to choose the right entertainment to set the tone for your reception and suit your style. Live music and DJs have always been a hit at weddings throughout South West England and the rest of the UK, from tribute bands to classic remixes. For some, there is nothing better than a live performance right in front of you, whereas others prefer a DJ who can spin out tracks from a variety of genres. It’s your preference that matters, but it’s also important to consider what you want out of the evening, and how to cater to your guests for a breakthrough party for everyone.

Party Costs

On average, you can expect to spend between £50-£100 per hour for the standard event DJ, with this number climbing rapidly for more popular and well-known artists. A live band, on the other hand, will vary in cost based on the number of performers. This can be anywhere from £600 for a three-piece to £1900 for a six-piece group. Make sure you choose what’s right for you, and then hit the dancefloor for a party you’ll never forget.

I could not recommend Miranda enough, she was absolutely fantastic at our wedding. So talented and made the day special. And she was very happy to take special requests too. Miranda was superbly professional in the lead up to our wedding, checking in with us and finalising the playlist ahead of time. She also accommodated our requests to play Taylor Swift which was appreciated! She was so easy to work with on the day, just quietly got set up and went along with the flow of our not so traditional ceremony. She made the wedding so magical and so many of our guests commented on how brilliant she was! I would not hesitate recommend her to anyone in Bristol/the south west looking for a violinist! Five star experience!
