We’re The Groovy Cats - an exciting 5-piece band that plays weddings, corporate functions, and ski-resorts around the UK and Europe. What sets us apart? We’re a super-tight funk and soul band with a killer horn section. We have a powerful sound, tons of energy, and we love to get an audience dancing.

Our current setlist has been over a decade in the making. We have tried-and-tested hundreds of songs and selected only the ones that work best. On any given night, our setlist is a mix of high-energy dancing songs, party bangers and sing-along classics. We want the evening to go off without a hitch and a well-crafted setlist is absolutely essential for this to happen. Please do bear in mind that we will learn first dance request for our wedding clients!

While we play music from all eras (1950’s-present day) and genres, every track is laced with funk and soul vibes. Our members have a wide range of experience, from rock and indie bands to folk ensembles and jazz orchestras.

We also pride ourselves on being professional and accommodating during the planning stage. We will answer every question in a timely manner and try to accommodate any request. On top of that, we will use our extensive knowledge of events and weddings to help you plan the perfect celebration: “[the band] always went out of their way to help during the stressful time of planning a wedding… and as a result, the band was definitely the least stressful thing to organise…”.

When you book The Groovy Cats, you can relax in the knowledge that your entertainment is taken care of. We will turn up early, set up our equipment in a professional and undisruptive manner, and get changed into our suits for the performance. We take great pride in our customer service and our ability to mix seamlessly with your guests. Then, when we take the stage, you can guarantee that the dancefloor will be packed! We play 2 x one-hour sets, building up the energy as the night progresses. Plus, we will DJ before, in-between, and after our performance (for free) to keep the guests having fun.

The Groovy Cats also have a huge number of additional entertainment packages to make your event perfect: Planning a cocktail reception, and looking for a cool and classy jazz band? Look no further; several our members are conservatoire trained jazz musicians and would be delighted to perform a selection of standards for your guests. Think the party might continue until the early hours of the morning? We have a wide variety of packages available to keep the party going, such as later finish times, and additional DJ sets. We can even provide an acoustic group to play for you as you walk down the aisle!
