The Moonrunners is a music group from Southampton, Hampshire. With over 15 years of experience in performing, they are available to show everyone a great time at your wedding. The band consists of Jack, Rob, and Dan who have been together since they were 13. While Jack is lead vocalist and guitarist, Rob is on the drums and Dan provides the bass.
Services Offered
The Moonrunner boast an extensive repertoire and will have everyone dancing the night away. Although their signature sound is indie-rock, they are well-versed in all styles of music. So whether you’d like disco, pop hits, country, or a little bit of everything, they can tailor the experience to meet your needs. When looking at different bands for your event it’s understandable to be worried that they might not sound like they do on the videos and demos. The Moonrunners understand this, which is why their videos on the website is shot in one take. You can see and hear exactly what you will be getting.

What is included in the wedding package?
We are fully equipped with a full PA and Lighting, we can provide either 2 x 60 minute or 3 x 40 minutes of live music. We will also provide a free DJ music before, in between and after our live sets
How far in advance should I contact you?
We tend to get booked up quite far in advance so our advice would be to get in touch as soon as possible to secure your wedding date with us!

Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire?
Absolutely! We will learn your first dance and play it live, free of charge! Tell us what it is and which arrangement you would like and we will do it, any other songs will come at an additional cost

Is there a charge for travelling?
Yes, if it is within a 40 mile radius of Southampton, there will be no travel charge. Anything past that will be priced up per mile
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
Yes
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
Alone
What is the length of time of the act?
We can provide either 2 x 60 minute or 3 x 40 minutes of live music. We also provide a free DJ music before, in between and after our live sets which will end depending on you start and finish times
How much time do you need to prepare for an act?
We only require a 1 hour set up time, and can work around your timings on the day to make it work!

Do you charge per hour or per event?

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

How do you charge extra time?
If your event runs past midnight, we charge £150.00 per hour after. and anytime before 6pm is an extra £150.00
What are the forms of payment?
We request a bank transfer for initial deposit, and for the final payment which needs to be made one week prior to the event

The Moonrunners brought the energy and got the crowd going!
We booked The Moonrunners for our wedding in July - they were absolutely fantastic.
We wanted a band because the most memorable wedding receptions we've experienced have always had a band. They bring an energy and atmosphere that just doesn't compare to a DJ. Picking a band is difficult but having seen The Moonrunners' have videos on their website and on YouTube, we felt really confident that they would bring the vibe we were looking for for our wedding.
Over three sets, they built up the energy and the whole wedding contingent was partying on the dance floor to then end and didn't want them to stop.
Thank you so much for making our special day so amazing.

It doesn't get any better than these guys!
Wow!
If you want a band to keep the dance floor busy, these are your guys.
We were super excited to have the Moonrunners at our wedding. We had previously seen them twice at pub gigs so though we knew what to expect but they absolutely over delivered on the night.
We particularly liked that it felt like the guys themselves were actually part of the day, like guests even!
Rob was amazing to deal with in the run up to the day at the last minute we even threw into the mix that we going to have a DJ as well so they would have to work together which they took completely in their stride.
On the day, it was as if they appeared like magic all set up and ready to go with no fuss at all. The guests loved them and have since been asking who they were incase they need a band in the future as well.
I very much hope to see the Moonrunners again the near future.

The Moonrunners were amazing! We had a lot of fun with them at our wedding and a lot of guests let us know they really enjoyed them!
Crowd interaction wise, they were even better than we could have expected, for a few songs friends of ours who can sing (not planned) participated and the band let them join in.
Additionally, they did amazingly with the special songs we wanted for the first dance and later a great rendition of Dragostea din Tei (Numa Numa song)!
All in all, couldn't recommend these guys enough, they won't disappoint!

Incredible talent
The Moonrunners made our wedding reception truly unforgettable. They are professional, friendly and a pleasure to work with. Every guest was on the dance floor from beginning to end- even our photo booth supplier said they were the best wedding band they’ve seen. So grateful to have had them on the night, can’t recommend them enough!

Highly recommended band
We booked Moonrunners for our wedding after months of searching for versatile band that could cover a good array of music genres. They got all of our guests up dancing from the first song and kept us all dancing all night. Cant rate this talented band highly enough for your perfect wedding band as they provide DJ music and MC services as well as providing their own lighting, thanks guys you were amazing!

Would 100% recommend
So glad that we found Brightside, having been badly let down by our original band. Their agents, Tailored Entertainment looked after us from first contacting them to the day before the wedding, guiding us each step of the way and always keeping us informed. We had never met or heard the band live but loved their website videos and they certainly didn't disappoint. They may not have stuck entirely to our play list but they read our 'slightly older' audience like a book and the dance floor was never empty, with so many compliments afterwards. They were a pleasure to work with and we would 100% recommend Brightside/Moonrunners. Thank you all, Nick & Jane
