The Piano Studio can provide live music for your Wedding Ceremony and/or Drinks Reception. Choose from a live Pianist or Jazz Duo to create the perfect feel for your special day. We will work with you to discover which music you would like included in your bespoke programme and we are happy to learn requested songs and of course something special for your Aisle walk.

What services do you offer?

What is included in the wedding package?
Ceremony: 30 mins of music while guests arrive, Aisle walk music of your choice, signing of the register and wedding party exit music. from £350
Drinks Reception includes up to 90 mins of music
How far in advance should I contact you?
Usually 2 yrs in advance is the earliest we would take a booking for. Short notice bookings will be considered if we have the availability

Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire?
yes. 2 songs of you choice will be included in the price and more can be learnt for you for a small additional cost
What's your experience?
Over the years I have played at various wedding ceremonies and receptions as a solo pianist, the most recent being Skylark and Blacknest Country Clubs. Now I also work with a Vocalist as a Jazz Duo

Do you need specific materials or conditions to offer your service?
No
Can you travel?
Yes, within a 25 mile radius of Southampton is included in costings
Is there a charge for travelling?
Yes, 45p per mile
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
Alone
What is the length of time of the act?
Wedding ceremony up to an hour
Drinks Reception usually an hour but can provide up to 90 mins if required
How much time do you need to prepare for an act?
30 mins to set up
Do you do open-air acts?
Yes
Do you charge per hour or per event?
Per event
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
No
How do you charge extra time?
If needed for extra time there would be an invoice sent after the event
What are the forms of payment?
Payment would be by Bank Transfer or Paypal
£50 non refundable deposit is needed to secure the date and the balance would be due 4 weeks before the wedding/event

We recently used Jean to play at our wedding ceremony.
Jean is such a talented lady, she played the songs beautifully and was able to play a very specific song that I wanted to walk down the aisle too.
Jean is very approachable and no questions were too much trouble, she made sure we were 100% happy with everything.
So many compliments and it added such a lovely touch to the day.
