Claire Roberts, The Welsh Songbird, is a professional award winning soloist whose voice is a beautiful accompaniment to any special occasion. With a drama degree and more than 15 years of experience singing with bands, acoustic duos and choirs, she is a versatile performer whose warm alto, trained mezzo-soprano voice and 3 octave range can provide a romantic ambiance for many different types of weddings.

Services offered

Claire designs her services to accommodate each couple’s musical tastes and can perform any style of song they choose including classical, lounge, jazz, rock, folk, pop, the latest hits and more. If preferred, Claire can use her musical expertise to come up with a selection she knows will be a lovely fit to a particular wedding.

The Welsh Songbird can entertain during multiple parts of the ceremony (the bride's entrance, signing of the register or guest arrival/exit), wedding breakfast or reception.

This is a bespoke service. I will sing at any point during your wedding ceremony, afternoon canapes and/or wedding breakfast

Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire?

Absolutely! This is what makes me unique: you can choose every song for your ceremony! It is important that your wedding ceremony is special to you

What's your experience?

I have a warm alto voice, but also have a wide range. I studied Music for my A Levels; since then I have performed with numerous function bands and choirs

Is there a charge for travelling?

Yes, 50p a mile (outside of 35 mile radius of Cheltenham)

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

No

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

Alone

What is the length of time of the act?

The whole of your wedding ceremony (plus an hour set up time before ceremony begins). For afternoon receptions, I can sing for up to 2 hours - divided into any configuration you want!

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

30 minutes

What are the forms of payment?

BACs deposit on booking of £25 on booking and balance is due either via BACS 7 days before the wedding or cash on the day
