About

Total Affect is a professional four-piece wedding and function show band based in Lancashire, serving Lancashire, Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and beyond. The band is distinguished by its four-person line-up, three of whom sing in different, complementary styles and have all fronted previous bands. This allows a wide range of material and superb harmonies for your special occasion. The band plays well-known classic rock songs from the 70s, 80s and 90s that will light up the dance floor with spectacular performances accommodating all ages whilst filling the dance floor. You won't be disappointed! We'd be happy to have a friendly chat with you to discuss your plans and to tell you how we operate and our requirements.

Services Offered

As a rock band, Total Affect has a specially selected setlist of rock classics that will get your guests dancing late into the night. This includes hits from Thin Lizzy to Bon Jovi, AC/DC to Queen, Eagles to Free. What makes us unique is our superb vocals, musicianship and harmonies. Total Affect is one of the most in-demand wedding bands in the North West.

What services do you offer?

What is included in the wedding package?

Two 50 minute sets of Classic Rock music performed live with no backing tracks. Full stage setup including PA, backline, drums, lights, smoke etc. To learn a specific first dance number is £200

How far in advance should I contact you?

As soon as possible to avoid disappointment. We will require eight weeks if first dance song to be learned

Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire?

Yes for first dance. Otherwise we will consider requests but may charge extra depending on time required

What's your experience?

All band members have 20 plus years experience of playing their instruments. With the exception of the drummer all three members have fronted bands and sing lead vocals. Adhe band has recorded albums

Do you have your own equipment?

Yes

Do you need specific materials or conditions to offer your service?

Can you travel?

Yes, north West. Can travel further afield at additional cost

Is there a charge for travelling?

Yes, outside of Northwest - subject to negotiation

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

No

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

Alone

What is the length of time of the act?

Typically two 50 minute sets plus an encore. We can tailor the set to suit the requirement

How much time do you need to prepare for an act?

Ninety minutres to load, setup and souncheck. Sixtry minutes to break down and load

Do you do open-air acts?

Yes

Do you charge per hour or per event?

Per event

If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?

Yes

How do you charge extra time?

We charge based on the requirement. We can also play music through the PA instead of a DJ, we can add a keyboard player, we can play for longer. Please specify in the enquiry

What are the forms of payment?

Bank Transfer, Cash on the night Deposit required to secure booking

The most amazing live band we have ever seen! Our guests LOVED them!

We booked Moving Mars for our wedding after seeing a video of their rock rendition of Tina Turner's Proud Mary and instantly falling in love with them! And oh my, they did not disappoint. They sounded AMAZING and myself, the groom and all of our guests absolutely loved them. I've had so many messages from the guests about them since the big day saying how great they were. I definitely recommend them if you're wanting to rock out and hear the most AMAZING guitar solos! They're absolutely lovely guys too. Thank you so much Moving Mars for making our wedding even more amazing!

The best wedding band ever! According to us and our guests!!

Total Affect played at our wedding at Mitton Hall on Saturday 11th June 2022 and we were overwhelmed by the response form our guests. The band were absolutely fantastic live performers and the song list was perfect for us and our guests. We love classic rock and the band played many of our favourite songs and our guests danced from the first song to the last complete with two encores.
We would recommend Total Affect very highly indeed. x

A truly great live band - they had the audience dancing form the first song right through to the last. Highly recommended.

Each year we hold an outdoor festival/live music event which has proved to be very popular and attracts approximately 300 - 400 people. Having booked Moving Mars for our event, they were highly entertaining and sang a wide range of some great rock classics in a 90 minute performance which got the crowd dancing from start to finish and still asking for more. They engaged with the audience extremely well and all 3 of the group ranging from each had their own lead vocal styles meaning that they could play a much wider range of material and songs to suit all tastes featuring great harmonies from the likes of Queen to the Eagles. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a fabulous evening of great songs and truly lovely gents who will keep you entertained all night long.

A brilliant band that I would highly recommend

Total Affect played all our favourite rock music from the 70’s through to the 90’s. The frontman was funny and chatty, they had people up dancing all night. The thing we liked the most though, was the fact that all three of them sang, meaning they could do anything from Tina Turner to AC/DC. Fantastic. Plus great guitar skills to boot!!
