The Spectrum is a Wedding band based in the centre of the UK.
Ok, so let's talk about your wedding reception. You want it to be fun, lively and full of songs that everyone will know.
We get to know our couples so that we create a wedding reception playlist that all your family and guests will talk about for years to come!

Available to travel across the UK, The Spectrum is a high-energy wedding band based in the West Midlands of England. The band boasts many years of experience playing at weddings, enabling them to provide a complete music service. Playing only the best in pop, rock and indie songs for weddings, these professional musicians have played with international stars and top touring artists.

The Spectrum aims to provide clients with more than just a service and hopes to gift them with an unforgettable experience. This band boasts a high-quality performance, live sound, and undeniable chemistry on stage. These musicians work closely with every couple to ensure that everything runs smoothly and will put together a playlist that reflects their unique personalities.
Their extensive setlist caters for all ages, including classic tunes from The Beatles and The Jam through to The Killers, Walk The Moon and The Weeknd. They will provide a complete top-specification PA and lighting system to ensure you have only the best for your wedding. You will always have a pre-mixed DJ playlist in between the band's live sets, or you can have the option of a live DJ who will be on hand to take requests or have your specific playlist ready to go so you can focus on enjoying your event.

What is included in the wedding package?
Our most popular wedding package is for the evening entertainment with the band arriving at 6pm to setup and giving you music until midnight. Mixing live band sets with premixed DJ or live DJ
How far in advance should I contact you?
Our diary can go as far in the future as you need it too! Weddings often get booked up to 3 years in advance and as we only play one per day then please get in touch as soon as possible

Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire?
Yes of course! We love to learn songs that mean a lot to you and so long as it's suitable for a party then we would love to include it in our set so long as it suits a four piece live band
What's your experience?
We have lots of experience in weddings and events of all sizes. As a band we have been playing together for 10 years. You also get the same four guys that you see in our media!

Do you need specific materials or conditions to offer your service?
Yes, outdoor/marquee/tipi we need a hard surface to perform on
Can you travel?
Yes, we travel all over the UK. Our cost includes travel up to 2 hours. See below!
Is there a charge for travelling?
Yes, please get in contact for your personalised quotation. We generally charge £100 per hour of travel after 2 hours from our base in The Midlands
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
Alone
What is the length of time of the act?
We usually arrive at 6pm for a reception and finish at midnight but later times are available.
We usually play 2 x 45 minute sets but this can be increased to 3 x 40 minutes
How much time do you need to prepare for an act?
Our setup time is around an hour assuming good access to our performance space

How do you charge extra time?
Dj costs of £150 per hour after midnight. An extra 30 minutes of live band is £400

What a band! 🥰
We honestly cannot thank you guys enough! Our guests loved you and you catered for all the generations plus our friends and family from New Zealand.
We had a few aching muscles amongst the guests days after as they recovered from dancing the night away.
If you are looking for a band look no further! These guys will look after you every step of the way and make it special for you!

We had an amazing night with The Spectrum as our band. Great variety of song choice and there was always people dancing from start to finish! I couldn’t recommend them any more! They even got my brother on the drums!

The Spectrum were amazing throughout the whole process! Planning was easy and straight forward with flexibility in packages to suit whatever you want. On the wedding evening we had so many compliments about the music. The sets were based around our taste in music and had such a personal touch - including our first dance played live 🥰🤘🏻 so glad we chose The Spectrum! - Mr & Mrs Rae

Versatile band with numerous dance floor fillers
We searched high and low for a 'one size fits all' band that could entertain everyone aged 8 to 80! Most bands we came across had a restricted set list which simply didn't meet our varied requirements. Step forward The Spectrum! They boast an incredible song list with all manner of genres - music through the decades with both cheesy and cooler options - ensuring the dance floor was buzzing all night long.
On the day, as often happens, the timeline didn’t quite go to plan and this caused a slight issue as our venue had a curfew for live music. No problem for The Spectrum; James sought me out before I could even think about it and offered an alternative plan which made the most of our time and indeed the band. During the set The Spectrum were flexible too, being very responsive to requests and suggestions.
A fantastic bonus was how professional, friendly and adaptable The Spectrum are. Frontman James was incredibly responsive to emails and set up a video call to get a feel for who we are and what, specifically, we were looking for - they didn’t disappoint! In addition to the evening set, we also enjoyed a great acoustic session during our drinks ceremony and a fantastic DJ who kept things pumping around the live set - all curtesy of The Spectrum (it so much easier - and less stressful! - to have one band do everything!)
What we loved most about The Spectrum was that they are a bunch of friendly, down to earth guys who clearly love what they do - and deliver without pretension (no delusions of grandeur here!) If you are looking for a fun and professional band that easily light up the dance floor, we could not recommend The Spectrum highly enough. Go check out their song list; you’ll be glad you did!

The spectrum rocked our wedding
The best wedding band, look no further, the spectrum are amazing, they rocked our wedding, everyone was on the dancefloor the whole night, thankyou for rocking our night. James has a amazing singing voice, loved our 1st dance of Grow Old With Me, definitely 10 star rating.⭐

The Spectrum brings the party!!
James and The Spectrum Band rocked our wedding and moved heaven and earth to make sure we had the perfect wedding day.
James is absolutely fantastic; during the planning phase, he would always get back to any questions I asked quickly, and really took the time to understand our needs for our wedding. He even co-ordinated with all our other suppliers to make sure everything went as smoothly as possible!
Nothing was too much of an ask for him; the band happily learnt our first dance song, and were attentive to our venue's slightly tricky layout, sound limiters, and our complex schedule. We set out exactly the type of music we'd like, the music to avoid, whether the DJ would take requests, and The Spectrum exceeded all our expectations.
They kept the dancefloor packed for the whole night, and our guests regularly complimented both the band and the DJ on their quality and range. I don't think I can think of a single guest that didn't party until the early hours with us, all thanks to The Spectrum.
To James, thank you so much for partying with us at our wedding; we had the most fantastic reception! And to anyone else considering hiring The Spectrum, they are nothing less than fantastic; I'd recommend them in a heartbeat!

Great wedding band!
The Spectrum played at our wedding reception and they were amazing! They took the time to learn an acoustic version of our first dance and played a variety of music in the live and DJ sets that was suited to our tastes after we told them who our favourite bands were. They were so good at getting people up on the dance floor and were great at interacting with the crowd! We had the best time partying with you guys - thank you so much!

The Spectrum played at our wedding reception and they were absolutely amazing. They played an awesome array of songs and sounded incredible, especially our first dance. Wedding band
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Spectrum, they were brilliant all the way through, from booking to the day itself. Amazing communication and a pleasure to deal with. They performed our first dance which was amazing and incorporated our favourite songs within their sets. We had loads of great feedback from our guests and they definitely got the party rocking! The Spectrum MADE our Wedding!
We welcomed The Spectrum to play for our wedding and they were AMAZING!
Having live music from these guys really exceeded my (already high!) expectations - everyone was on the dance floor living their best life and told us how much they loved the band.
Also, they were great to work with in terms of getting to know us, putting together a banging playlist that took into account our top songs, and smashing a request.
We loved every moment they played and it really did make our wedding day extra special for us and our guests.

Amazing - 10/10
The dance floor was full ALL night at our wedding and we were a New Year’s Eve wedding so it was a long night!! A band can make or break your wedding and The Spectrum definitely made it. Highly recommend!

The best wedding band
From start to finish the spectrum have been amazing! Super easy going and accommodating, the night was just magical and there was never an empty dance floor! We’ve had so many comments since on how fabulous they were! Definitely recommend!

Our dance floor was never empty!
For our wedding we wanted a band that played music that was to our taste rather than just generic wedding songs. When I found The Spectrum (after hours of listening to other bands murder a cover of Uptown Funk) they were exactly what we wanted! Being able to listen to some of their live samples on the website was reassuring they would actually be good on the day but they exceeded expectations and were absolutely fantastic! We recieved great reviews from our guests and we all partied on right until the end. They also provided a DJ service which was excellent, the dance floor was never empty and I recently found out my Mother-in-law had been sneaking in requests!
I 100% recommend these guys to play at your event! Especially if you want a good variety of music, they have everything covered!
