AB Photo is a wedding photography business located in Manchester, Greater Manchester. Owner Alastair has been working in the industry for more than a decade. He takes pride in his ability to make subjects feel at ease in front of the camera and has an unobtrusive approach to taking pictures. Alastair's goal is to leave clients with a gallery of images that showcase their occasion's moments with artistry and care.
Services Offered
Alastair at AB Photo takes documentary and candid style photos as well as some more traditional group shots to give you a range of photographs documenting your wedding. Packages include varying hours of coverage, depending on the couple's needs. These can be discussed with Alastair in advance of the big day. Optional extras include a pre-wedding photo session, a second photographer, and a fine art wedding album. He also offers videography, either all day or as part of hybrid coverage, along with photography. If you would like both to be captured, Alastair recommends a second photographer to ensure all the highlights are preserved on the day.

What does the wedding package include?
I offer full day and extended packages, all including an online gallery to view and download edited images. This includes a call and meeting at the venue before the big day
How far in advance should I contact you?
As soon as you have a date or venue booked. I am now booking for 2025/2026
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

Yes, greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, Yorkshire. National and destination if travel can be covered
What is the charge for travelling?
No charge for 1 hour travel from Central Manchester. Low cost travel more than 1 hour away

What kind of technology do you use?

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
I have a candid and documentary style, rather than being too intrusive. I'm happy to organise and take traditional group shots, but my primary focus is on the emotions of the big day
What kind of equipment do you use?
Canon full frame cameras and lenses. Cutting edge technology and beautiful colours which are the best in the business for skin tones. I also use DJI drones to capture the venue in a spectacular way
Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?
Yes, i use pic time which provides a link to an online gallery to view and download for free and a link to create an album/prints as well

Perfect photography
Cannot recommend Alastair enough. From our first phone conversation to our finished photos he has just been so wonderful. Our brief was to just capture the day and evening and he totally delivered. Exactly what we wanted
Alastair is lovely, professional and easy going. The photography side of things just blended into the day- it didn't feel like we had to spend a large of chunk of time taking photos. He captured exactly what we wanted- relaxed and natural photos of the day. The whole process was super easy and efficient. Highly recommend!

All around amazing
From start to finish, Alastair was amazing. No words can thank him enough. He managed insecurities about being in front of the camera so well. During the ceremony he was so discreet and respectful, all our guests hardly noticed he was there!

Exceptional service from start to finish
We booked Alastair after coming across his work online. From the very start, communication was great. Alastair arranged a call to get to understand our requirements, he then took the time to meet us at the venue a few months before to get an idea of how the day would go. During the day of our wedding, Alastair made us feel very comfortable. The photos are fantastic and on the day you wouldn’t have even known he was in the room. Very happy with the service.

Perfect photographer for a perfect day
Alastair was great from start to finish. We made contact a few months before the wedding and then met in person a few weeks before the wedding at the venue. He’s obviously a lovely person and made us feel very relaxed. We wanted mostly a candid style with a few group photos. On the day Alistair and his colleague were professional and flexible, it very much felt like they were able to enjoy the day with us. Would 100 percent recommend.

Amazing wedding photography
Alastair delivered on exactly what we wanted and more. His friendliness and professionalism is above and beyond. He listens to what you are wanting and delivers. On the day we even forgot he was there. He is so discreet that he truly captures those natural moments. Highly recommend.
