Providing couples with high quality professional photography services in the Greater Manchester area and beyond is Blue Ribbon Photos, run by the award-winning photographer, Glenn Smith. He has travelled internationally to capture a variety of special events at numerous locales over the years, and he will bring that same passion and dedication to a couple's wedding celebration, which he is sure to cover beautifully.

Services offered

The Silver Package is very comprehensive, offering many options. Every customer receives a USB stick containing both the high and low resolution images taken during the day as well as a shared copyright for distribution and usage. Approximately 150 images are included in each set. The sets are then displayed in an online viewing gallery accessible to clients.

Striving to accommodate the needs of his customers wherever and whenever possible, Glenn will impress brides and grooms will his friendly professionalism and approachability. He wants to make sure every couple's special day is everything they wished it would be and more, and knows quality photographs are a big part of making that dream a reality.

What does the wedding package include?

The Silver package includes all a USB stick of the best images (av 150) & an online gallery. The Gold package includes the same but is then tailor made by the couple to their needs & budget

How far in advance should I contact you?

I can sometimes fit in a wedding at short notice but it's better to book early to ensure I'm available!

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

No

Can you travel?

Yes, lancashire Cheshire Greater Manchester Other areas if required

What is the charge for travelling?

The cost of travelling will depend on the distance I need to travel. If a hotel is required, this will be added to the cost. Please contact for a quote if the venue isn't within 50 miles of M22 8LF

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?

I'm always on the lookout for shots that I can take that are a bit out of the box. E.g. taking a Reservoir Dogs type photo in BW for a groom who loved the film

For the Bronze package there is an extra charge for extra locations and extra hours. For the Silver & Gold packages, I'm available from whenever you need me until after the first dance

I work alone but will have an assistant at larger weddings

Our wedding

Very professional, knows what the customer wants, high quality pictures, very flexible for the time and price and very flexible for a payment method as well. We have asked for a video and has done much more than what we expected on the video. We are very surprised and very happy that we have chosen for our wedding Glenn Smith Blue Ribbon photos.

I had my wedding pictures taken by Glenn. He arrived at my parents' house at 9am and starting taking pics of us having our make up done, etc. Then early afternoon he met up with my husband and took some lovely ones of my husband with his dad and parents.

Then he came back to me and took the most gorgeous pictures of my children and myself when I got into my dress, by the time it was my wedding at 3pm he was ready to take more and my did he take some stunning shots, he also stayed at our venue till around 11pm so a long day in the end but still Glenn captured some beautiful pictures.

Unfortunately 2 weeks after my wedding my dear nana passed away and the lovely Glenn kindly printed some beautiful pictures of my late nana which I can’t thank him enough! The work he puts into the photos is 110% every picture was stunning. Definitely worth every penny! Thank you Glenn!

We found Glenn via the internet. He met us at the hotel the night before our wedding and we went through our wishes and requirements.
Glenn was very friendly but professional throughout our day and spent over four hours with us on our special day. The photos captured our happiness perfectly.

I cannot recommend Glenn enough! My wedding photos are truly amazing! They went above and beyond to make sure I got the perfect pictures.

Renewal of vows. Glenn was a delight to work with from start to finish. He was very attentive and ensured that he had a good understanding of our expectations, guiding and supporting us as it was a long time since we had done anything like this. He did not rush us and was unobtrusive on the actual day, responding to any photo shots we needed and making them work for us. We requested a Hollywood Back Drop to give the day a different edge and some unusual photos. This worked well and was a talking point with some amazing shots being taken. Glenn kept in constant touch by e-mail, letting us know progress on our shots and where to access them easily to begin our choice for the album. He also visited us on numerous occasions to assist with the photos, album types, etc and the different sizes and effects we could have. This has resulted in a perfect album and key rings for the guests to treasure. Overall a wonderful experience. Thank you Glenn.

Fantasic service, well recommended. The photos are fantasic and the photographer is very good wigh everyone. He can do the usual portraits and group shots to something more contemporary. If I want any other portraits doing I will go back to Discount Photography!
