Amy Takes Photos is an established wedding photography company based in Birmingham, West Midlands. Owner and talented artist Amy has documented candid moments at wedding celebrations for over ten years and has built a stunning portfolio. Amy strives to capture genuine emotions and will ensure your most flattering and relaxed images will make it to your wedding album. She uses a fun reportage style to deliver a blend of formal and informal photos you can treasure for years to come. Amy Takes Photos will endeavour to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere so you can feel confident and gorgeous in front of the camera.
Services Offered
Amy Takes Photos covers weddings in the West Midlands and travels throughout the UK. Amy photographs pre-wedding photoshoots as well as the main event, from prep photos to the dance floor. Your high-resolution images will be delivered to you as digital files, albums, and gorgeous wall art you can enjoy with your loved ones.
Amy has recently rebranded and changed her company name from Capture Photography to Amy Takes Photos.

My approach is relaxed and inconspicuous, I have a strong candid style but I'll happily get people organised for the more formal shots too. I help people relax especially when they're nervous

An hourly rate for any hours added on to a package but I don't have strict time limits on my packages anyway, I don't want to miss anything exciting!

I'm organised and I work hard to put you at ease to get the best photos of even the most nervous. Backdrops are important but for me it's the emotion and capturing those moments that I love

Exactly what we asked for!
Amy was a delight to work with, she was so friendly and understood the brief of our hybrid Hindu/English country wedding. There are some priceless and beautiful shots in the album she shared with us which we can't wait to frame around the house! Would 10/10 recommend Amy - what a gem.

So glad we chose Amy
We had Amy to take photos at our wedding ceremony and evening reception. She is very friendly and just makes you feel at ease especially important for my husband who doesn’t normally feel comfortable having his photo taken. Communication up the day was spot on. She was great with our guests. Could round people up for group shots but also took the natural pics we requested so sometimes didn’t even realise she was there. We are just so glad we had Amy. She provided us with these beautiful shots of our perfect day to cherish forever. Thank you Amy.

Fabulous wedding shots
Amy took fantastic pictures of our day and we are so pleased with them. She made us feel relaxed and managed to get pictures of everyone without us even knowing she was there. She captured beautiful natural images of all of us as well as the usual more formal shots. We are so glad we found her and also that we booked the full day from prep to first dance. The photos have told the story of our wedding day and will be a lasting reminder of the fantastic time we all had.

Amy shot our wedding at Curradine Barns, Worcestershire. Our photos are amazing, very natural. Amy managed to blend in with the guests and got some lovely pictures for us to treasure. She is a lovely lady to work with. We would highly recommend her.

From initial planning to meeting her at our pre wedding shoot, Amy is very responsive and we loved the extra special touch of sending us a cute thank you box in the post.
The pre-wedding shoot was a great opportunity for myself (and all the family tagged along) to get to know Amy and immediately it was clear she puts everyone at ease and a bonus is great with the kids!
