I am Lorraine - HELLO
I will tell you a bit about myself hear but it is your day and all about you and what you want.
So for me …. I love weddings, I love photography— always have and I feel I photograph from a females point of view. I have had the absolute pleasure of doing the job I love for 15 years.
My style is very relaxed and contemporary and I work quickly and unobtrusively to achieve amazing results. I am respectful that this is your day and not a photoshoot so I won’t drag you away for ages or keep guest waiting.
I am lucky enough to be based in Edinburgh Centre (in the Grassmarket), Centre of the lakes (Bowness on Windermere) with an amazing friend who lives in London Centre (Paddington). This all means I am very flexible and don’t need to charge for travel.

Wedding photos without spending hours
From the minute we booked Lorraine, we knew that it would be easy to sort out our wedding day pictures. Guidance and expertise was offered throughout the lead up to our day as well as giving us different options and packages, to suit every budget.
On the day Lorraine made sure pre wedding pictures were captured and we wanted a package where natural shots were taken instead of set photos.
Lorraine made sure every member of the bridal party was on our pictures as she had taken all their names beforehand.
A selection of group, family and us were taken and the amount of pictures we had to choose from was phenomenal.
Lorraine also offered a video package which we would recommend as she put it together capturing all the special moments of our day.
Thank you so much for our wonderful package with memories to last forever.

Excellent photos and video, blew us all away! Highly recommend!
Lorraine went above and beyond to get the most beautiful video created for our party the week after our wedding day. It blew us all away and certainly created a lot of happy tears! On the day itself, Lorraine was down to earth and followed the script to get all the shots that we had discussed. She even came down to a different location to get some amazing shots before we went on our way. We have now received all our photographs and are very, very happy with them! Would definitely recommend :-)

Amazing photographer, amazing photos.
Lorraine was incredibly professional, and also relatable. She regularly kept in touch with us all through the planning, including figuring out the run of the day whilst taking into consideration what we wanted. She arrived and got to work straight away, and gave great direction to get some great shots - She knows all the right angles! We wanted some shots by the lake and in the grounds of the venue, and she also recommended an additional place for some wonderful photos with a breathtaking view. Thank you so much to Lorraine for working with us and helping with making all the planning a breeze!

Lorraine was absolutely amazing we booked her for all day from morning until our night time reception and our first dance unfortunately my 82 year old mum fell and broke her hip but Lorraine did a wedding video for us so we could show mum at no extra cost to us she even took time out to come down to where we live to find the best places for our wedding pictures a truly amazing day with a amazing photographer would highly recommend thank you Lorraine at bowness photography

Brilliant Photographer
Lorraine was everything we didn't even know we needed on our wedding day...and more! She made sure the day ran smoothly, made us feel so comfortable and confident, and looked after us every step of the way whilst capturing beautiful shots from start to finish. We had typical Lake District drizzly weather but Lorraine knew I had my heart set on some confetti photos, she kept an eye out and spotted the sunshine when it appeared and ensured we got the shot. We're very happy we had her there - highly recommend!

Fun wedding photography experience with great results
We were looking for a wedding photographer who is affordable yet possess good portfolio for our civil partnership in Edinburgh. Lorraine approached us and she has been very helpful and professional from the start to finish. Her portfolio was great and we have no regrets in having her as our photographer. We loved the fact that she did her own research to find the best spots for photos one day prior to the appointment day and led us through a series of great spots on the wedding day. She worked quickly and we love the results she delivered. Overall, she is highly recommended and would be a great addition to your wedding day.

Wonderful Photographer
We hired Bowness Wedding Photography for our wedding which was changed due to Covid and Lorraine was Very accommodating from Day 1. Lorraine took time before our special day to find out what pictures we wanted, on the day Lorraine was fantastic she even helped me into my dress, we have some Beautiful photos and couldn't be happier with them. I would definitely recommend Lorraine to anyone who needs to capture that special day she was Amazing xx

Fantastic experience

Brilliant Photos
Brilliant photos from our wedding day! We had a relaxed day with friends and family and the pictures really reflect this as we didn’t want overly formal pictures! Lorraine was fab and easy to contact using wattsapp which was great! Definitely recommend!
