Essence Photography specialisies in wedding photography and is run by award winning contemporary female photographer Karen. Whilst based in south down, I cover all of Northern Ireland and border counties, and have added destination weddings to my portfolio.
My relaxed approach to photography allows for beautiful and natural but also fun images to be captured, ensuring your day is only full of precious memories, and my eye for detail will ensure every detail doesn’t go forgotten.

What does the wedding package include?
Every package includes coverage from about an hour before your ceremony, beginning with bridal preparations right through to a mock cutting of the cake before your meal. Photo only options from £1000
How far in advance should I contact you?
Bookings taken from as far as three yrs in advance to as little as 3 weeks prior to your wedding, but early booking holds current prices and avoids dissappointment if your date is not available
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No
Can you travel?
Yes, all of Europe
What is the charge for travelling?
Generally speaking there is no additional charge for neighbouring counties, but as small fuel charge may be added to further afield bookings

I have a set list of coverage but also go with the flow of the day to capture those one off moments

My style is very relaxed I go with the flow on the day, along with the typical staged photos, but again these are in a very laid back manner

Karen is the best!
Karen did such an amazing job of capturing how magical our special day was. We keep looking at the photos and smiling. They are something we can cherish forever. Karen is extremely professional and accommodating to the scenario. Also she is just the nicest, loveliest lady ever!!! Highly recommend to all!!
