We had the absolute pleasure of having with Martin James for our wedding in Cornwall this summer, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! From the moment we reached out to Martin, he was incredibly professional, warm, and attentive to our vision. He took the time to understand what we wanted and made sure to capture every special moment without being intrusive.
On the day of the wedding, Martin and his team were a joy to have around. They blended seamlessly into the celebrations, capturing candid shots while making us and our guests feel at ease. The level of creativity and detail in the photos is beyond what we could have imagined. Every image feels like a piece of art, from the stunning landscapes of Cornwall to the intimate, emotional moments we’ll treasure forever.
The turnaround time for receiving our photos was also impressive, and the quality was exceptional. We couldn’t recommend Martin James Photography enough—if you’re looking for a talented, professional photographer to capture your most important day, Martin is your guy!

Warmth & Professionalism
We cannot recommend Martin James enough as a wedding photographer! From the moment he arrived, Martin brought a level of warmth and professionalism that immediately put everyone at ease. He wasn’t just a photographer; he truly became a part of our wedding party, blending in so naturally that it felt like he was a long-time friend.

They refused to give me my wedding album
Paid upfront. Wedding album was included in the package we paid for. Wedding was in 2019. Chased them up so many times. First got told Covid was delaying everything. Ok fine. So many emails sent months later. No response. Then finally got a response. Told it’s too late , they’ve been archived so I have to pay for them to come out of archive. Not fine. Persisted. Told I had to re choose my photos for the album. I did. Told they couldn’t accept it from gmail as there could be a virus. My husband who works in this field told them there was no virus. Now no response. FIVE YEARS LATER! Awful people. Awful company. Don’t use them!Martin James Photography & Videography's reply:

We made every effort to communicate this through emails and phone calls, and even offered you a discount on an album as a gesture of goodwill, which you ultimately declined. Our team works diligently to ensure that every client is satisfied with our services, so it’s disappointing to hear that we fell short in your case. Opting for Martin James as the photographer for our wedding turned out to be an astute choice. Right from the get-go to the moment we had our splendid wedding album in hand, Martin's blend of professionalism and zeal for his craft was unmistakable. He genuinely took the time to grasp what we were envisioning, contributing his seasoned insights and seamlessly integrating into the fabric of our day to catch those fleeting, genuine moments without ever feeling intrusive.

Poor communication post-wedding, never received our wedding album
We used Martin James as our wedding photographers and videographers in May 2023 - Martin and his team were very friendly and professional on the day. Martin was also very friendly for our engagement shoot and in our video call prior to the wedding.
Unfortunately a few things happened after our wedding which let the service down:
- Some of our main family photos that we had asked for prior to our wedding day, not everyone was looking at the camera in the photo/ blinking. We had asked if two photos could be merged together (along with a couple of other small touch ups) and were told by Martin's admin Kenneth it would cost £300 extra to do this. Instead we got a free photoshop trial and fixed this ourselves in less than an hour. It would have been nice for the professionals to have helped with this with a more reflective price of how much time it would've taken them to fix.
- All communication with Kenneth (99% of our communication was through him) was painfully slow, he did not answer all our questions and we had to keep repeating ourselves in follow-up emails.
- We had to keep chasing when we were going to get our wedding album and were assured this would be ready for delivery in 'early 2024' - from December onwards our emails got ignored.
-After being ignored for weeks in a row, in February we CC'd multiple people in (we were never able to get hold of anyone on their contact number on the emails), Kenneth advised us that they've relocated to Dubai, their previous wedding album supplier is no longer available so they were refunding our wedding album order.
- We waited over 9 months for a wedding album, if we hadn't repeatedly chased this we doubt we would have heard back.
For such a special and important day to us it was really disappointing that they were unable to fulfil their commitments - had they been more responsive to emails we feel we would have got our wedding album in time.
Update 29/4/24
We reached out to Martin James to discuss our free wedding album - over the past 3 weeks we’ve sent 4 emails on 2 different accounts but have had no reply.
We had already selected our photos and details for our wedding album months ago so we are not sure why they needed us to reach out to them, they could have made our album based on our previous information.
We managed to communicate with them since March 2022 and this is the first time we’ve been told our emails have gone to spam.
We have also not received any 'gifts' that Kenneth had mentioned in his response.

Regarding your wedding album, we are genuinely sorry for the delay and the eventual cancellation of your order due to unforeseen circumstances with our previous external supplier, we hope the refund and gifts you received made up for this. We recognise how precious wedding albums are, and it's deeply regrettable that we were unable to fulfill this part of our service for you. We would be thrilled to discuss the creation of your wedding album at your earliest convenience free of charge with our new supplier. Please let us know a suitable time for you, and we’ll ensure everything is arranged to your satisfaction. Please rest assured, we are taking your feedback seriously and are implementing measures to enhance our communication channels and client service protocols.
