Who we are

FourthCornerPhotography is a Chester, Cheshire-based wedding photography company created by Nicholas Holloway in 2024, a professional photographer for over five years prior. Our company is fascinated with abstract couple portraits that use unconventional techniques to convey a couple's passion for each other. Our candid/documentary style is clean and unobtrusive, and our client comfort approach means your day revolves around your comfort—not our process. We work around our clients, not the other way around.

What we do

FourthCornerPhotography is a "moments" company. We focus on capturing the decisive moment to capture genuine, authentic moments of joy for our clients. As storytellers, we craft our weddings around specified shortlists that give a whole view of the day and tell a story that relates to our clients. We would also describe ourselves as "expression-based."

We strive to become storytellers for our couples & clients, crafting a journey of prints fueled on passion through an unobtrusive, natural, and relaxed shooting methodology in which client comfort comes first."

We make sure to keep a discreet approach while shooting your loved ones. The only time we step in to pose/set up photos is during our couples' portrait sessions. Here, we like to create dramatic, editorial compositions that have been perfected and pre-planned for your relationship. Think of it like a personal fine art project!

What makes us different

Multiple variables make our photography unique. Our style is a big element. Our finished photos have a film effect that emulates famous film stock from different eras (as well as some of our personally honed styles). This style evokes nostalgia in our couples.

Besides using abstract shooting and editing techniques, our unique approach to photography makes us truly unique. We don't attend as a "photographer." We attend as a person, a friendly presence who you've gotten to know over multiple consultations before your special day. We want to have fun and create and employ inside jokes that you can feel safe turning to. When you feel comfortable, you look the best! So we put client comfort first, always.
