Heather was amazing start to finish in both planning and her work. We found her through a local recommendation page and we're eternally grateful we did! We had a registry office marriage and a twilight wedding, both of which Heather attended, and the images from both days will be forever treasured. She manages to catch the feeling of the day in her work - as you can see from our photos, we couldn’t stop smiling! She also worked amazing with our dog who appeared at the end of the registry office ceremony for a few photos with the family. Obviously as a couple, we wanted photos with our nearest and dearest to hang on their walls, however the true beauty of heathers work lies within the ‘Documentary’ photos, the candid moments of pure joy. My husband and I aren’t usually comfortable having our photos taken, but Heather makes it feel so easy and natural - it’s just such a relaxed experience, nothing forced, no awkward poses, just gentle direction (only if/when it’s wanted) to give you the most beautiful photos you could imagine.

Our engagement shoot was fantastic and the photos were perfect (we’d changed all of our profile pictures to photos Heather took within minutes of receiving them!). Even if you think an engagement shoot isn’t for you (which is exactly what we thought at first), we would 100% recommend it, especially if you feel at all nervous around cameras. It’s a great opportunity to get to know Heather and James and as well as getting some gorgeous photos, it will make you feel so much more comfortable on your big day.

Heather and James are by far the best photographer and videographer we’ve seen at a wedding. We’ve been to so many weddings in the past where guests couldn’t enjoy the moment because the photographer was stood in the way or was barking orders, but this is never a problem with Team Butterworth. They blend in perfectly with your guests and take beautiful photos without any fuss - they’re an absolute dream!
