Based in Devon, Gavin Horrell Photography is a wedding photography business covers Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset and Hampshire specialising in Weddings photography.
Finding a Wedding Photographer is a difficult task. Wedding Photography is one of the most significant and important investments of your wedding day. It does not just document your big day, your location, your families, and all those details that have been so perfectly chosen, but most importantly, we document the warmth, love, and happiness of not just two people but also their families.
Couples have relied on Gavin & Samantha to beautifully capture all their candid and loving moments. We take a traditional approach to documenting weddings and has a wealth of experience knowing just how to organise / pose his couples and shoot discreetly without getting in the way. No fuss, natural, fun, unobtrusive and relaxed photography. We do some portraits and group shots, but don't let them take over the day.

Services Offered Weddings
Gavin can offer a pre-wedding consultation and pre-wedding visits to your venue to gain inspiration for your photos.
We can provide coverage from morning preparations to the first dance and beyond to the after party but will happily listen to his clients wishes and provide the service they require. Gavin Horrell Photography services include flexible packages and can be amended to suit your budget.

Sometimes it’s easier to have a conversation right at the start so we can figure out exactly what it is that you would like - rather than lots of emails back and forth. All packages include: all photos edited and presented to you on an online gallery, and a consultation prior to the big day to discuss your requirements
How far in advance should I contact you?
As soon as you can! I book up to two years in advance, so if you love what you see, just get in touch.
We have done weddings with only 3 days notice
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No
Can you travel?
Yes, primarily Devon and the South West. However, I do cover the whole of the UK
What is the charge for travelling?
With 100 miles travel is included in my pricing, so no nasty surpises!

Deposit of £250 and the remaining balance 3 months before the wedding date.
We also offer monthly payment plan at no extra charge

I love to shoot in a natural, documentary style of wedding photography. I capture the ceremony and all the special personal moments as they happen, creating a story of photos for you to look back on

Incredible photography and videography
When planning for a wedding, you really want the best of the best to capture those special moments. These photographers and videographer did that, beyond our wildest dreams. I had the absolute pleasure of having Gavin, Sam, and Mel capture our wedding, and I can confidently say they made our special day even more magical. From the moment they arrived, their professionalism and warm energy put us at ease, allowing us to fully enjoy the day without worrying about a single detail.
Gavin and Mel’s talent as photographers is simply extraordinary. They had an amazing eye for candid, emotional moments that tell the day’s story. Amazing and fun photographer

Fun and laughter had!
Where to begin! My first chat to Gavin really confirmed we had made the right decision to ask him to be our photographer for our Wedding. His energy, humour and work ethic really shone out to us and is reflected in the preview pictures I have had a sneak
Peek at! We also took advantage of hiring a second photographer Mel “recommended through Gavin” to work along side him. Which gave us the opportunity to have more coverage of the morning bride and groom getting ready, and throughout the day.
The attention to detail is amazing! I cannot wait to see the rest of the photo’s they have taken.
Whilst being professional they were both very joyous and a welcome part of
our day couldn’t have done it without them! Even the little things like helping with button hole’s or doing up necklaces they took the time to help whenever needed!

Gavin was an incredible photographer. Very fun, took amazing photos and was a great personality to get the less photogenic people (including the bride and groom) to relax and take some excellent photos. Loved his fun energy and professionalism.

Perfectly Captured Our Big Day
We had our wedding early June 2023 and Gavin, from Honiton Wedding Photography, was our photographer. We had an amazing time and Gavin chronicled the wedding perfectly. He has a great sense of humour and a knack for capturing the mood. We booked Gavin just over a year before our big day and had several phone conversations planning what we wanted and then a walk through at the venue a few months before the wedding. such a great service and puts your mind at ease that you have someone who cares what we want and then delivers in bags.
No hesitation in thoroughly recommending HWP for anyone looking for a class photographer.

The wedding photographs dreams are made of!
Our experience with Gavin and Sam as our wedding photographers was an incredible one. From the moment we booked them as our photographers we were given 5 star treatment. Nothing was too much and the photos speak for themselves, just WOW! We were made to feel at ease, we had so much fun whilst being photographed and our dream wedding vision was brought to life! We asked for smoke bombs, sunset pictures, sparkler moments and all of this was delivered to perfection. Having 2 photographers was the best decision we made as each photographer captures different angles and moments that would be missed with just one photographer. 100% would recommend again and again.

Great wedding photographer!
We were delighted to have Gavin as our wedding photographer. We organised a pre-wedding shoot with him and Sam and they were both so friendly and made us feel really comfortable. We were able to say what we liked and didn’t feel pressured into particular poses for the shots. On the wedding day, they both worked really hard to get some beautiful photos of us and our family and friends, and guests were complimentary of them. Gavin was always responsive and available to chat, and we couldn’t believe how quickly we got all the photos back - 2 week! Great photographer, who helped us with our perfect wedding.

Outstanding Service
Where to even begin? From the moment they arrived Gavin and Sam were ready to go (despite the verbal abuse they often received from our mighty sausage dog) As a plus sized woman I have always struggled with getting my picture taken or even looking at pictures of myself but I can honestly say I felt nothing but comfortable in their capable hands! And we even received our previews back the next day which was an amazing opportunity to reflect on our busy day with a nice bottle of bubbly!
Nothing was too much of an ask for the pair, from crawling around on the floor to diving in bushes to get the perfect photo, these two really went above and beyond all expectations we had for a wedding photographer! Everyone commented on their commitment to the job and how amazing they both were!
If you're looking for a wedding photographer, you've found them! I could not recommend both Gavin and Samantha enough.
We are truly honoured you were part of our special day, and that you were so easily able to capture the love we share for each other in your photos.
