Meet the Team
My name is James Soules, welcome to my page on Wedding Wire.
I thought it best to explain a little of how I work:
I try to remain as invisible as possible throughout your wedding day, your day is about you, the bride and groom, not about the photographer making a show and stopping the occasion to take photos. Obviously it's impossible to be invisible at all times but I always work in a very conscious, discrete and quiet way.
At the ceremony I do not use flash as it draws attention to me and away from you, the bride and groom. Instead I use the natural light in the room, trying to work with the light rather than against it.
During the reception I mix into the crowd with your guests allowing me shoot from the inside of the action rather than from the side lines with a long lens like a member of the paparazzi. This allows me to create images that are from the guests point of view, capturing moments that you may not have otherwise seen.
