Located in Bolsover, Derbyshire, Karl's Photography Centre produces timeless images from weddings and other milestone celebrations. I'm a passionate photographer with over two decades of experience to my name and a few awards and my work has featured in numerous magazines. In the past, I haver had the honour of working all over the world encapsulating some of life's most precious scenes.
Services Offered
When it comes to weddings, I adopt a candid and documentary style. This allows your celebration to flow naturally as I captures every fleeting moment. I offers a variety of wedding packages whether you just want ceremony only or full-day coverage. All of the photos from your big day are professionally edited before being presented in several ways. This can include an online gallery, physical albums, prints, and much more.
Depending on the weather and your Venue location I usually use my Drone to get some more beautiful and unique photo's of you all and your Venue.
Why SHOULD you book with me?
Everyone wants beautiful Wedding Photo's. But how do you get that with a complete stranger? You can't. On the majority of my packages I give you an Engagement Shoot for free. Many people DON'T want this, because they don't like photo's of themselves. Ironically, I'm one of those, yep. My own Wedding was a nightmare for me lol.
So I can totally get where you are coming from. On the Engagement shoot we get you both used to the camera and me. I get to meet you both and we just have some fun. By the time the Wedding comes, we will have met again at the Wedding Walk through and you will be nuce and relaxed, I will know you both better and won't have to be as formal and I can guide you both through your day making it truly one the best day of your lives.

What does the wedding package include?
1 hour free Bridal Prep, Ceremony, Group photographs outside and I take you both off alone to get some beautiful photo's of you both (and a little time to enjoy being MARRIED!!!)
How far in advance should I contact you?
The sooner the better. Once your date is secured with me then you have one less thing to worry about. And the earlier you book the cheaper your monthly payments will be :)
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No
Can you travel?
Yes, i work all over the UK and Internationally. So where ever you are getting married, I can cover it
What is the charge for travelling?
Within reason I don't charge for travelling if I can help it :)
What style of photos do you take?
Other (I don't like to limit myself to a style. Depending on the venue affects how I work. But generally i would say i'm an organic photographer. I would rather get the natural shots over the posed)
What kind of technology do you use?
Digital
Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
I try to be discreet when i'm not with anyone. By that I mean I will walk around the room and look for those natural laughs and smiles. That way I can capture the natural shots
What kind of equipment do you use?
Both of my cameras are Professional DSLR's. So if one memory card fails it automatically has a back up. And if the camera fails. I have a back up for that too
Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?
Yes, secure online link to your photo's which you alone have the link and password to. From there you can share with with friends and family around the world
What's the delivery time for a photographic report?
1 month
Do you send all the photos taken?

Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?

How do you charge extra time?
All the timings are worked out on the Wedding Walk through which happens a few weeks before your Wedding date :)
What are the forms of payment?
For payment i prefer Online Banking, but i can also take payments via Paypal, Cash or Cheque. For each I send you a receipt straight away
How do you work?
I work by building a rapore with you both. That way you both are relaxed, I am relaxed and I can be a little creative with the shots sometimes and you both have the confidence to ask for shot

Amazing experience
Well what can I say Karl is amazing we has soooooo much fun and knows how to have a laugh and fun he’s very easy going he even stayed to the end he took the photos I asked for and didn’t make us do anything we didn’t want too and to top it if off my bridesmaids got ready in a different room and I could get hold of any of them I had just 15 minutes to get ready and I couldn’t do up the back of my dress or put my shoes on and I was panicking luckily Karl came to my room to take some photos he asked if I was ok I explain to him, I couldn’t do what my dress I’ll put my shoes on and he helped me sort my dress out he fastened my dress at the back then got down on his knees and helped me put my shoes on and my shoes was difficult to fasten even for me but he didn’t give up he got my shoes on I don’t no not one Photographer who would have done that but he did , through out the night he kept coming over and asking me if I

Fantastic Photographer
I would not know where to start with how fantastic Karl is, So I will try. The sheer amount of effort that Karl puts in is phenomenal, communication was second to none and was always at the end of the phone or email to answer any questions that I may have prior to the wedding.
We did a Photography shoot with Karl for the Engagement and we loved every moment was fun and where we really got to know one another.
Onto the Wedding day- all I can say is how amazingly helpful he was with so many helpful hints and tips, from staying cool on a hot day to helping get us into our dresses, Karl could see how nervous I was and most defiantly helped put me at ease during the morning getting ready, talked me through everything, above and beyond. I really felt like I had a friend on the day and I can not recommend Karl enough, he is award winning for very good reason, so from one Bride to another book Karl.

Perfect wedding photos
Karl captured all essence of our wedding. The photos of us all having fun were brilliant, capturing my friends and family in natural moments.
The staged family photos were really good and I can't wait to have some printed and up around the house.

Look no further
If you're looking for an honest, reliable and professional photographer then look no further. Karl was fantastic and informative throughout the whole experience. We had a video conference which was good to look back through incase we forgot any details. Around 4 months before our wedding we had an engagement photo shoot in at an idyllic location. The photos from this was printed in our guest book! On the day he organised us and made us feel comfortable. And for me ( the groom ) told me what to expect throughout the day and really put me at ease! The quality of the photographs and the presentation book ect was of top quality. There's a few small regrets within organising my wedding but karl is definitely not one of them. You can look through the rest but be sure to book the best! Thanks again Karl!

An excellent photographer.........
It gives me the utmost pleasure to leave this review. I met Karl six months ago when I attended the Wedding of one of my best friends. During the evening reception I was approached by Karl and was asked if I wanted pictures taking together with my partner. I explained that we were a Gay couple, however, Karl was really lovely, he made no issue about it, he put me totally at ease and I felt so incredibly comfortable. I am normally very careful around new people and I tend to be even more careful who I allow into my social circle. Karl took the pictures, he was very professional and he made the occasion such a relaxed experience. Once the pictures had been taken he came over to us and spoke for about a quarter of an hour, I then asked for a business card which he was only too happy to assist with. A really lovely guy, friendly, confident and very approachable. A very professional photographer who is first class and produces the most first class pictures. I can recommend this guy to anyone who may require his services and I can assure you that his work far outweighs that of many of his competitors. If you are seeking a photographer then may I strongly suggest that you contact Karl, you will not be disappointed. I wish Karl all the very best for the future.

We are so glad to of found Karl to do our wedding photos! He has been extremely professional from the moment we initially enquired.
We had a meeting to begin with to discuss packages, Karl wasn't at all pushy, in fact he advised us not to jump into booking and to go away and think about it before.
We had a wedding walk through at our venue before so we and Karl knew exactly what we wanted.
On the day, he was punctual, arriving at the exact time agreed, he explained everything thoroughly including how to stand to get the best photos, my hair and makeup artist who regularly visits my venue said that she'd never seen a photographer as thorough as Karl and she has met alot of photographers.
We have a 4 year old daughter and he was fantastic with her and got the best out of her too, he kept her occupied whilst i was getting ready, he even text us the day after to wish us a lovely honeymoon.
He wasn't just there for the photography, he was a huge part of our special day.
Would absolutely recommend to anyone!

From start to finish karl has been amazing , he made sure everything was perfect he run us threw everything never made us feel uncomfortable, took the most beautiful pics. Professional and understanding
Karl was understanding and listened to what We wanted rather than doing what any old photographer does. Karl really captured the essence of our day with the pictures, from staged and posed to the natural and comedic snaps there wasn’t any we disliked. Couldn’t of asked for a better photographer.
