Lauren Polson Photography is a wedding photographer based in Aberdeen, Scotland. She believes that wedding photography is not just about providing a quality service; it’s also about creating a fun, memorable experience. Lauren has a keen eye for detail; she also has a talent for helping couples feel at ease in front of the camera. Lauren will be as hands-on as you want her to be; it’s your love story, and Lauren can’t wait to help you celebrate.

Services Offered

Lauren Polson Photography primarily covers the North East and North West of Scotland, including Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Moray, the Highlands and Skye. Lauren loves travelling, however, so if you’re planning a wedding or elopement further afield, she would be delighted to hear from you too. Lauren offers a range of wedding packages. Her most popular package includes an engagement session, full-day coverage, full-resolution images with printing rights, a password-protected online gallery, and 30 prints in a presentation box or faux leather envelope. Wedding albums and fine arts prints are also available for you to enjoy.

Lauren is currently taking wedding bookings for 2024 and 2025 only. Her 2023 diary is now fully booked and closed.

What does the wedding package include?

All of my wedding packages include a complimentary pre-wedding consultation and all the best images from your day edited and in a full resolution format for download from your personal online gallery

How far in advance should I contact you?

The earlier the better. Most clients book me 12-18 months in advance. I'm already fully booked for 2023 and have limited remaining dates May-Nov 2024

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

Can you travel?

Yes, aberdeen based but cover all of Scotland!

What is the charge for travelling?

There is no charge for travel within 50 miles of AB25. Travel beyond 50 miles is charged at 45p a mile plus a fee to cover hotel/b&b expenses if an overnight stay is needed

What kind of technology do you use?

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?

My documentary-style approach allows me to capture all the raw emotions of your wedding day. I also seek out light, both natural and flash, to light my subjects in flattering yet creative ways

What kind of equipment do you use?

I use two professional Canon camera bodies as well as a range of Canon L Series lenses, Sigma Art lenses, flashguns, and various light modifiers allowing for plenty of back-ups!

Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?

Yes, i use a password protected gallery powered by Pic-Time to display your photos. You and your guests can download your images as well as purchase prints, albums and more from the gallery store

What's the delivery time for a photographic report?

How do you charge extra time?

Extra hours on top of my fixed packages are charged at £250 an hour

What are the forms of payment?

A £250 non-refundable retainer is required to book me. Payment can be made by bank transfer and credit/debit card

How do you work?

For the majority of your big day I'm a fly on the wall, capturing all of the emotions as they unfold. I only use simple direction when posing. I love to get involved in the party in the evening too!
