Behind the Lens
To me, photography is not something that you can call a career. I mean sure you can earn money from it but anyone who does it always puts it second. It is all about passion and the chance to freeze priceless moments in a frame. For me, that pursuit started when I was only a six-year-old girl. A girl whose only dream was to capture everything that she put her eyes on. My dad’s Zenit film camera played a vital role for me as I would go around capturing photos and then disappearing into a dark room for hours. There was an element of magic that sparked a special connection for me with cameras and as I grew older it only became more and more intense. A lot of children save money to buy something that they really want, and for me, that thing was my first ever Canon film shooter. Before I even started photography as a full-time earning gig, I covered more “professional” events with my family and friends than I can even remember.
Photography is a very vast field and there are more niches than anyone can possibly list. For me, there was a lot of experimentation before I finally realized my true passion; weddings. If you were to ask me why I chose it, the answer would be the thrill. Weddings are incredibly special, beautiful, tough, stressful, nerve-wracking events, both for the couple and the photographer. It brings me personal joy to see a happy couple and I feel compelled to make sure I capture priceless moments. The thing is, most of these moments come at a moment’s notice and then they are gone forever. Apart from my addictive love for black chocolate (it’s real BAD), being able to capture moments in a way that creates a story worth telling your grandkids 40 years down the line is my high.
Career Highlights
My work has been very rewarding and has allowed me to travel the world and capture weddings of a lot of special people. I do not differentiate between any of my clients. They are all royal to me but that will not stop me from bragging about the fact that I went to Qatar for capturing royal weddings during the past year and let me tell you, it was LIT! I also have had the privilege of capturing weddings in other countries like France, UAE, Mexico, Lithuania, Greece and many other exotic locations. My love for travel means I am all the more excited for my clients as I get to capture priceless moments and enjoy myself as well.
Personal Facts
A good wedding photographer takes every detail they possibly can from the couple about them before capturing a wedding. Or at least that is how I do it to make sure you look exactly yourself in each photo. Since you share so many things about yourself with me, I feel like you should know me as a person too.
I am crazy about traveling
I can speak three languages
Coffee is life to me
I can be a bit of a chatterbox sometimes
I absolutely adore animals (I actually wanted to be a vet at one point)
I was a dancer for 15 years so I know a thing or two about discipline too
I love taking trips with my family and disconnecting from the world
I have a degree in Multimedia from the University of Greenwich
I LOVE black chocolate, again (told you it’s bad!)
Spiders and snakes are a big no-no for me!
Equal Parts Friend and Photographer
Being a wife and a mother myself, I am highly dedicated to my family and my clients are an extension of that family too. I was a bride too once and I understand how emotional and overwhelming weddings can be, especially for brides. I have some great moments that I shared with several couples who needed a friend in that crucial hour and I am especially proud of all the behind-the-scenes help I provided all my clients. My work often extends beyond that of a photographer as I become a Swiss army knife of human support for the day. Be it providing emotional support, becoming a hair and makeup artist, entertaining kids or providing directions to locations, I have done it all and my clients keep remembering me for it. For me, it is just a chance to let someone have the best possible wedding day and when they look back at it after 20-30 years, they remember me as a close friend.
A Small Price for Priceless Moments
Once the vows have been made, cakes devoured, and the dances danced, you will turn to a new chapter in life. Many more precious moments will come and go and as your family grows, you will keep going back to your wedding day, to the moment when it all started. Having professionally captured photographs are the perfect tool to relive memories of that day. Sometimes they will make you smile, other times you will cry, and some moments will simply become funny stories that you will repeat with the whole family on every holiday. As a photographer, I put in my heart and soul to support every single couple that I work with. I make sure that you do not remember me just for my excellent customer service and work ethic.
