Hi, I'm Lucy, of Lucy Farrant Photography. I'm based in Poole, Dorset, but I also cover Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Devon. My wedding photography style is fun, relaxed and documentary. As your photographer I will capture all the emotions on your big day from the romantic intimate moments, the embarrassment of the speeches, all the way down to the details of your table decorations, all of which you will cherish for a lifetime. I dedicate my time to documenting your day and capturing your story, of course, there'll be the odd posed moments - they're unavoidable - but freezing the emotions and special moments are my favourite part of the job.
Personally, I will put my all into your day, not only for your photos but by helping carry your dress or be that person to talk to if a family member is driving you up the wall! From your booking process all the way until after delivering your photos I will be with you on this beautiful journey.
Packages
I have three set packages available for you to make life simple. Each include an engagement shoot, a private online gallery, pre-wedding consultations, sneak peeks and 6+ hours of coverage. The top two packages also include the addition of a second photographer, your own wooden personalised keepsake box with a USB and prints. However, if none of these packages takes your fancy, I'm more than happy to help you create your own bespoke package to fit everything to your needs. It's your day, so why not have it your way?!

What does the wedding package include?
Each package includes 6+ hours, a private online gallery, an engagement shoot and sneak peaks. There are additions to more hours, a second photographer and a personalised keepsake box
How far in advance should I contact you?
There is no specific time, however I'd suggest to contact ASAP, photographers can get booked up fast so it's best to as soon as you've found a style you like. The latest I'd really suggest is 4 months
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
No
Can you travel?
Yes, i'm based in Dorset, however I do also cover Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset and Devon. Further afield is also possible, however adjustments will be made to costs for travel
What is the charge for travelling?
The charge for travel really does depend on the distance and whether I may need accommodation whilst on your wedding. We can discuss this depending on the location

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
I have my own personal technique, both with editing and how I shoot on the day. I'd definitely say I'm a documentary style and my editing is warm with pops of colour
What kind of equipment do you use?
My camera body is a Nikon z6ii mirrorless, I use this with a variation of a 35mm & 85mm lens
Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?
Yes, you will receive your own private online gallery. This also has the feature to share with family and friends via a link
What's the delivery time for a photographic report?
2 months
Do you send all the photos taken?
Yes
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
Alone
In case of unforeseen circumstances, do you have a replacement photographer?
Yes
Do you have the rights to publish the wedding photos?

Do you charge per hour or per event?
Per event
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
Yes
How do you charge extra time?
Extra time is charged by an hourly basis of £100 per hour, this must be paid within a week of the wedding
What are the forms of payment?
I take payments via bank transfer mainly, however cash and PayPal is available
How do you work?
As mentioned before I try and hide in the background to make everything feel as relaxed as possible and not be in your face. However, when it's needed I will be the one calling at friends and family

Capturing our perfect day
From the moment I saw Lucy’s gallery, I knew she had to be the one to capture our day! Lucy is not only kind and caring, but also truly passionate about her work. Her attention to detail is exceptional, and she beautifully captured the essence of our special day. Her calm and friendly presence put us at ease, allowing her to blend seamlessly into our celebration and capture candid moments we’ll treasure forever. Lucy’s organisation before the wedding was incredibly helpful, making the lead-up much less stressful. We also loved the engagement shoot included in our package, which helped us feel more comfortable in front of the camera. The quality of the photos is outstanding, even with the more challenging shots we requested, such as those with our dog and an aerial hoop performance. Lucy embraced these challenges, and each image beautifully conveys the joy of the day. We can’t recommend Lucy highly enough and truly hope that she is one day able to capture more beautiful memories for us. Thank you for capturing our memories so wonderfully!

Fabulous Photographer
Lucy is just fabulous, such a professional but friendly and warm person who immediately puts everyone at ease. We told Lucy that we didn't want lots of formal pictures we really wanted to capture our friends and family in the moment and that's just what Lucy did. We had a beach shoot on the day and an early picture that Lucy has shared is just beautiful - the light - it's perfect. We would not hesitate to recommend Lucy as she was just brilliant - thank you

Absolutely incredible!
Lucy smashes it again and again and again. I originally met Lucy after my mum booked her for their wedding. With Covid and a year long postponement, by the time it came to my wedding I’d known Lucy for about 4 years and had a couples photoshoot, my mums wedding and an engagement photoshoot all of which I thought couldn’t be better than the last, and yet somehow they were!
And then it came to our wedding day and I cannot describe how happy I was with the photos. Not only were they beautiful, they so perfectly captures everything that was important to us on the day - the emotion, the love and all the little candid moments that made the day so perfect.
I feel very lucky to have met Lucy and to now call her a friend, and I absolutely 100% will never go to anyone else for any future photo events! I would recommend her to anyone who would listen!

September Wedding
Lucy was absolutely amazing! I wouldn't want anyone else, i would recommend her whole heartedly! She is so laid back and calm, but assertive and in control at all times. Lucy managed to get everyone looking and smiling in the right direction which in its self is huge. Her photos are beautiful and for most of our guests who don't have their photos taken often they were blown away! With some guests commenting its the best photos of themselves they'd ever had taken! All of our guests loved her, she fitted in perfectly. Lucy was so accommodating throughout, and was able to adapt amazingly! The day before our wedding the roof of the church fell in, she did an outstanding job of not getting any scaffolding in the photos! I would not hesitate to use her again, she captured the day so perfectly! Thank you!
