Hi, I'm Matt Pate...
I'm a wedding photographer based in Cheshire. I cover all areas of the North West UK & beyond.
My mission is to repay my client's trust by producing images that are timeless and evoke laughter and tears for all the right reasons, for now, and for generations to come. This comes from careful planning, proper listening and attention to detail.
Spotting and capturing those moments of pure magic, creating breathtaking images of genuine emotions and unforgettable moments! My style is very relaxed, always working with a smile.

I pride myself on being very easy to work with, offering a flexible and discreet service so as not to interfere with your day. I offer a pre-wedding shoot as part of my full-day wedding package, this really helps to create a relationship between myself and my clients, helping the photography part of your big day run smoothly. I offer a range of wedding packages to suit the diverse requirements and budgets of nearlyweds. Couples can also create a tailored package to ensure an entirely personalised experience.

What does the wedding package include?
In person or zoom discussion and planning meeting.
Full day coverage by me, from bride and groom's preparation up to and including the first dance.

How far in advance should I contact you?
The earlier you contact me the better, wedding suppliers will often be booked a year or more in advance. That's not to say you won't get me for a last minute wedding though
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
Yes
Can you travel?
Yes, i'm more than happy to travel all over the UK. My local areas are Cheshire, Lancashire, Shropshire & North Wales
What is the charge for travelling?
I don't charge for travel unless I have to stay overnight, in which case, I would ask you to cover my expenses

What kind of technology do you use?

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
I offer a natural documentary approach, but will offer some awesome and creative couple portraits if you're up for it
What kind of equipment do you use?
I use full frame Sony cameras and prime lenses which together create stunning images
Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?
Yes, i use Pic-time online gallery to deliver your images, these can be shared and downloaded
What's the delivery time for a photographic report?
1 month
Do you send all the photos taken?
No
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
Alone
In case of unforeseen circumstances, do you have a replacement photographer?
Yes
Do you have the rights to publish the wedding photos?
Yes
Do you charge per hour or per event?
Per event
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
Yes
How do you charge extra time?
I would charge £100 per extra hour, in most cases this isn't needed as I'm never in a rush to leave if there's still partying to photograph
What are the forms of payment?
I require a 20% deposit upon booking, the balance would then be payable 30 days before your wedding day

From the first message, to our wedding day, Matt has been amazing. His communication has been excellent, especially with my endless emails or messages he was always extremely quick to respond.
On our wedding day he felt like more of a friend attending that our photographer and put us completely at ease. Both of us aren't 'posers' but we thoroughly enjoyed having our pictures taken. I can't thank Matt enough for the amazing photos we have received and the variety we have to choose from! They are all amazing and such good quality we are over the moon 🥰.
