Mia approached us with unique ideas which we loved. Being a couple who are usually behind a camera, we wanted a different approach to the norm and it’s exactly what she delivered. She captured candid, personal, emotional images of our day.

We were always going to be tricky customers, my wife being an avid photographer herself and both of us being in creative industries, but Mia handled everything perfectly.

First of all, I just want to say that I do not like posed photos or having my photo taken at all. However, Mia was so kind and supportive of this, she listened to what kind of photos we were looking for and 100% achieved it. I felt comfortable the whole time.

Our photos were relaxed, fun, colourful and captured so many lovely moments between loved ones on our special day. Someone said to me ‘if anyone so much as laughed Mia was there to take the perfect shot’! Also, she was so thoughtful and grabbed a bottle of champagne for us to sneak for 20 mins alone together (also found this lovely spot at the venue I hadn’t even seen!) to get photos of us as a couple having fun. They turned out to be the best ones!

When it came to editing she listened to our feedback and was happy to talk through which ones we liked best, any edits and also made a side album for the ‘bloopers’ that we could keep for ourselves. Honestly, I couldn’t recommend her enough!

Mia was such a valued part of our wedding day. She was with us throughout the whole day, from getting ready in the morning all the way through to the evening disco and dance. She captured our most special memories, managing to depict all the emotion of the day, from the belly laughs to the tears of joy. I don’t actually think her fingers stopped clicking! Had the pleasure of having Mia take our engagement picture in the stunning location of York. She made us feel completely at ease, allowing me and my partner to be ourselves. She knew the right places to take pictures and excellent direction. We got a sneak peak within 24 hour and the rest followed very shortly after. We are very happy and used the picture for our wedding website, which our guests love! Would highly recommend Mia as a photographer for any occasion.
