Hello, and welcome to my portfolio. My name's Chris, but you can call me MonkeyChops. I am a portrait, wedding, and music photographer and videographer based in Hastings / St Leonards, East Sussex. I like music and coffee, and when I'm not shooting, I spend as much time with my two little kiddos as possible (they're the real moneychopsies!!!).
My approach to shooting weddings is to get involved in your day, to be the guest you never invited but didn't know how much you needed! I'll be honest: I just love a good party, and I WILL PARTY!!!

I manually cull and edit your full gallery with a mixture of colour and B&W, making the process easy with the guarantee you'll receive the best photos from your day
What kind of equipment do you use?
Small, noninvasive mirrorless cameras with small lenses that don't distract your guests and won't poke anyone's eyes out! Don't wanna be that guy!!!
Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?
Yes, a link to your personal online gallery where you have access to the full resolution images
What's the delivery time for a photographic report?
1 month
Do you send all the photos taken?
No
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
Alone

How do you charge extra time?
Honestly, I don't, you book me for the day, so I'll cover the day. No shooting off after the first dance or skimping out of helping in the morning, I'll be there
What are the forms of payment?
Whatever suits you best! Usually take a small deposit on booking and then the rest is payable the week of the wedding
How do you work?
I like to shoot close and wide and get stuck in with you and your guests on the day to get truly unique and stylish photos that truly capture the vibe of your day!

Chris is an incredible photographer and Amelia and i would highly recommend him to anyone. Chris understood Amelia and i and got to know us personally before shooting our big day. We didn’t want too many traditional pictures but instead wanted Chris to capture moments of our day instead of setting pictures up all the time. We still had this element to our day but it did not take us away from our guests for long.
Chris blended in seamlessly with our guests and provided a comfortable, friendly and personal feel to the day. He understood the venue and found great spots to take incredible pictures that we will cherish forever.
Another service Chris provided for us was a wedding video! Not your standard wedding video instead shot through the lens of old 1990’s/ early 2000’s handy cams. These were distributed to our guests to capture the day through their eyes. Passed around to different people to capture the day in their own way. Chris collated all the video and formed it into an incredible video that can never be replicated.
We love everything Chris done for us. He captured our day perfectly and in a way I don’t think anyone else could have. He’s not your standard wedding photographer, he’s so much more! Thanks you Chris. We look forward to you one day re-capturing us on some land-mark wedding anniversaries!

What can I say? He's the best
Chris is a dream photographer. He's a joy to be around, puts everyone at ease, and nails the brief. We've got so much joy over the past few months out of our wedding photos, which is saying a lot from a couple that hates being in front of a camera. There really is no one better for your big day. I'd recommend Chris in a heartbeat.

Perfectly captured our Wedding Day
Chris perfectly captured our wedding day. From the excitement building beforehand, to the ceremony, and the celebrations afterwards. He interacted with our guests, and was brilliant at directing us during our portraits. We are delighted with the pictures, and couldn't have hoped for better. Communication was excellent at all points. Could not recommend him enough for your wedding day.
