Pete is a former UN photographer who now specialises in wedding, couple, and milestone photography. He spends his time between his home town in the Midlands and the South of France and prides himself in capturing narratives, natural connections, and sentiment. His approach can be summed up as focusing less less about what images should look like, and more about what they ought to feel like.

Services Offered

Peter Horton has a photo-journalistic photography style and leans towards natural imagery with camera-film style colours and tones.

He focuses on realism in his work and creating comprehensive photographic naratives. There is no limit on the number of images delivered and typically it is between 40 and 60 per hour.

His wedding package includes imagery in both colour and black and white, delivered digitally. Weather permitting, collections are complimented by aerial drone imagery of the venue.

Clients receive a simple pricing structure, a transparent photography contract, and comprehensive photographic narratives in both colour and monochrome as standard.

What does the wedding package include?

Unlimited quantity of images (dependant on the event), in digital JPG format in both colour and black and white, delivered digitally. Imagery is archived by me in camera RAW format

How far in advance should I contact you?

My contracts allow for first come, first served basis to protect all clients who have booked, so the earlier, the better

Do you cover more than one wedding a day?

Can you travel?

Yes, most venues within two or three hours' drive of the West Midlands

What is the charge for travelling?

These is no charge for most weddings in the West Midlands and much of the East Midlands, but fuel and accommodation may be charged for further a-field. My travel time is not charged,

What kind of technology do you use?

Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?

I specialise in natural couple photos, so I try to persuade each couple I work with to set aside 20 minutes for some couple photos that are almost always the best images of the day

What kind of equipment do you use?

I use two full-frame Nikon mirrorless camera bodies concurrently and a range of prime and zoom lenses. I have four off-camera flash lights for indoor use and dance floors. I edit with Adobe LR and PS

Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?

Yes, a password protected online gallery can be made available on request

What's the delivery time for a photographic report?

Cost of extra hours is dependant on the time of day or night - but does exceed more than 25% of the usual hourly rate

It depends! The best photography results are derived from speaking with couples face to face either in person and online so we can get to know each others' tastes, hopes, and anxieties for the day!
