I booked Scotscape for my wedding on 23rd May this year. We asked them to move to 25th September due to the Covid crisis that was emerging. She initially stated it was all media hype and everything was fine in their area however eventually agreed. Things got so bad and weddings weren't allowed so we realised 25th September was never going to happen either. We asked to move if to 22nd May next year but she refused and said she was happy to go ahead in September even though legally it couldn't. I then asked for my deposit back and she said no.

A few emails went back and forward and eventually she said she wouldn't speak to me again unless it was through my lawyer.

I spoke to Citizens Advice who said she could only keep a portion of the deposit that she had already used for the event, ie any outgoings and i was told to email her and ask for a breakdown of how she'd used the deposit which I did. That was about 2 months ago and she's just ignored my emails.

I've been told by the bank I shouldn't have paid by bank transfer as I've no way of claiming the money back. They advised paying by credit card or visa debit.

Please be aware of this company as they've left me out of pocket and been awful to deal with on what should have been the best day of my life.

Scott and Alison were great. Scott knew all the beautiful spots around my wedding venue to make spectacular wedding photos! Communication was great, I live in Australia so my method was email and Alison was very quick in responding.
