What is documentary wedding photography?
Documentary photography is storytelling. It's about capturing the moments as they unfold. Documentary photography is to capture, what is, rather than creating a version of that or overly setting something up.
The tears your mum wipes away as you walk down the aisle or the little boy sneaking sweets from the cart while no-one is looking.
This candid style is unobtrusive and captures natural moments of expression when no-one is noticing the camera is even there.
There's a balance - capturing those magazine worthy shots of you both and your must have group shots...just with the same natural and relaxed approach.
