Wow! What can I say! From the moment we booked Simon, he was amazing! Responsive, friendly and professional! He offered us some pre-wedding photos and included our dog! They turned out amazingly! Simon shot our wedding on a freezing cold day at the Lake District.

Despite the below freezing temperatures, he was more than up for shooting our pictures on the lakes.

He had the patience of a saint with my husband and I as we are terrible in front of a camera.
Our pictures are phenomenal and really captured all the memories of our special day.

We booked Simon through Hitched after having to cancel everyone because of Covid and we couldn’t of booked better. Simon was absolutely incredible and so professional. He captured so much of our special day that we didn’t realise had happened and our wedding photos are just perfect! The way Simon captured us in the setting was amazing and we are so glad we booked him for our wedding. Being based in the lakes himself gives him a superb eye for the surroundings and where best to get the perfect shot. He never got in the way or felt like he was following you, just snapped away and got the best of everyone. He let us know what was happening every step of the way on the day and even helped me get my Louboutins on, Simon is so much more than ‘just a photographer’. Simon made everything very simple from our first contact with him. He is very professional but also a very friendly guy, very reassuring and made the photos enjoyable. He took some beautiful photos that we will treasure forever.

We hired Simon for our wedding day and he was superb! He had a very calm and friendly manor about him on the day which put me at complete ease. We got married at the lakes and it rained all day, yet he managed to take some incredibly stunning photographs to capture the day.

We spoke and met with Simon a few times before our wedding day, and from those interactions his passion for photography was very clear. He has a great attention to detail, which was shown through at the planning meeting and continued through to our wedding day. His experience of weddings in the lakes and in particular at our venue helped him produce some truly breathtaking photos and in turn guided us seamlessly, fulfilling all the photos we could have wanted on a strict timeline. Me and my now husband got married on the 26th March 24, a few days before the wedding Simon arranged a call with us asking is there was anything specific that we wants to get photographed through the time he was there which I thought was amazing, nice to have a plan in place. On the day he was punctual and was very kind and professional, he required no directing just got on with what we had agreed and made everything so easy, when it came to the ceremony and the after pictures he was amazing at getting candid pictures of everyone having a good time and got all the important parts as well as the more silly ones. When we went round the grounds he was happy to take suggestions of good shots and made everything so easy and fun!! Overall he was definitely the perfect photographer and was so nice, polite and professional!! Thank you so much Simon, your pictures really captured the fun we had on our wedding day!!

So pleased we choose Simon to capture our intimate wedding held at the Cragwood Country House Hotel, what a magical day.

From the very beginning Simon was accommodating in every way. Simon listened carefully to our wishes and helped us in aspects of the big day that we were a little unsure about answering all of our questions quickly and professionally. His advice & guidance of course was spot on.

Regular contact was made at the intervals that was set out in our initial consultation and Simon was happy to help on the questions that ultimately arise when the planning was firmly in motion and full steam ahead.

Come the day, Simon immediately made us all feel at ease, friendly and caring he felt like part of the family fitting in perfectly and I'm not kidding!

Simons attention to detail is second to none and went above and beyond to capture the perfect pictures in an unobtrusive style, which we have to say was not easy given the typical Lake District weather in December, quite honestly nothing was a problem and we took it all in our stride with smiles and laughter for the whole day. Which sums up the day perfectly, smiles and laughter!

We chose to take an album from Simon, choosing 50 pictures, not an easy thing to do as all the pictures are fabulous. The style of this was a true likeness to how the day unfolded. Simon was able to send us a proof to check everything over, we made some amendments again not a problem at all and et voilà one wedding album produced & delivered seamlessly and best of all its beautiful.

We chose to take the additional option of a videographer; Sam to make sure that we would never forgot the ceremony, at the beginning you may think nope I don't want or need that but trust me the day goes by so quickly there will be parts that you forget. It was fabulous to watch the video on return from our honeymoon, again we sat and smiled throughout watching our ceremony all over again like a couple of kids! If you take this option its hassle free and so we'll worth the little extra. Simon will coordinate and arrange everything with Sam.

We whole heartily recommend Simon and Sam. Don't think about it, give him a call, you will not be disappointed.

Simon was brilliant from start to finish. He responded quickly, made us feel at ease and was really helpful to get the pictures that we wanted. We had some pre-wedding photos so that we could get used to being in front of the camera which was really useful. This helped us to see which poses we were comfortable with and which we weren’t. Simon took on board the feedback and encouraged us to try different things. On the day, I definitely wasn’t the easiest bride. I was really overwhelmed so he took some photos of us getting ready and then gave us some space and took photos of guests. After the ceremony, I just wanted to enjoy the day and didn’t really care about photos but Simon encouraged us to get the photos and I’m really pleased he did as these will forever be our memories. Simon captured some really special photos for us, and we would whole-heartedly recommend him.

We got married at New House Farm in Cumbria & Simon captured our day perfectly! We are delighted with our wedding photos & couldn’t recommend Simon enough.
