Usually no one outside of the bride and groom wants to see their wedding pics or videos, but since getting ours and sharing them with guests and on social media, we've received messages non stop about how amazing the video is and how great the pictures are. We booked Charlie to help us recreate our wedding photos 2 months after actually getting married.

We had a call to discuss what I was looking to try to achieve from having a second shoot and he was able to give us ideas on outfits, he had created and saved a Pinterest to share show me what he had understood about the brief.

On the day, he was amazing. He was running around to find the best light, backdrop, and as much as everyone wants "candid" sometimes what you actually need is a bit of direction to create something epic. By the end of the shoot my Husband and I were so relaxed, running in the water, spinning around and just having an absolute blast!

I am not a natural in front of the camera, but he put us at ease from the moment he arrived and quickly became an integral part of the day. We had so much fun working with Charlie and all of our guests commented on what a nice guy he is. A supreme professional, he put everyone at ease and was so good and patient with our flower girls!

We couldn’t believe how quickly SW turned around the photographs, and despite the weather not being in our favour, Charlie definitely made the most of what he was working with in terms of backdrop and lighting.

I 100% recommend Charlie, his editorial style is stunning and he made us feel like rockstars on the day of the wedding. I can’t stress how important it is to like your photographer, you spend quite a bit of the day with them and Charlie just felt like a mate we’ve known forever throughout the whole day.

Choosing Charlie and Tim for our wedding photography and videography was not a hard choice to make. When we got engaged back in 2020, I had a lot of time on my hands during lockdown to do my research and really find someone that would picture our day perfectly. I remember finding Charlie’s Instagram and thought THIS IS THE ONE! Communication right from the beginning was great, and Charlie followed our social media’s which I think really helps on the day, feeling like he already has an insight into our lives and what we like.

On the day, Charlie and Tim slipped in very discretely which was perfect for us! Not once did it feel staged or forced. We wanted our photos and video to be really authentic, capturing people in the moment which is exactly what they did. Every single one of our guests mentioned how lovely and fun they both were.

When we received the photos and highlight video we were quite taken back. They were all beyond beautiful! Honestly, we felt like we were looking through a vogue magazine! The photos and video are so elegant and stylish, and you can really see how much time and energy goes into editing every single picture.

Our wedding day was truly perfect, but I can honestly say one of the highlights from the whole experience has to be having Charlie and Tim there capturing our day in a way that will stay with us forever.

Studio Westlake capture weddings so beautifully. We got married in Woburn, Bedfordshire in July 2022 and after searching high and low for the perfect photographer and videographer for our wedding we just knew Studio Westlake was the perfect choice. Tim Westlake was our videographer for the day and he was truly amazing. If we could have had Charlie to photograph our day too we would have done but sadly he wasn't available.

Tim really did exceed our expectations with creating a wonderful video of our wedding day, everything about it is truly beautiful - the music he chose and the way everything was shot was so stylish and luxurious. We have watched the video so many times since and are moved to tears every time we watch it with family and friends - it will never get boring!

Tim is so personable and really took the time to get to know us and understand any specific requests we had in terms of what we wanted included in our video but in all honesty we completely trusted him to capture it in his own way and we just couldn't be happier!

Having a video of your wedding day is a really special keepsake and such a beautiful thing to watch and look back on and whilst I know some people are unsure of whether its necessary I would say you will absolutely not regret it!

We have had so many people say how beautiful our video is whilst asking for their details, including our DJ who flew in from Ibiza and was keen to know who we had shoot our day as the video quality and imagery speaks for itself.

One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was choosing to have a videographer and we are absolutely thrilled that we had Tim to capture it all so perfectly, he really is a creative genius and I cannot recommend him enough!

I have tried to write this review a few times but it really is hard to put into words how happy we are with Studio Westlake. Our experience, our photos, our video, everything.
From the moment we spoke with Charlie we knew we had made the right decision. When trawling through the hundreds of wedding photographers Studio Westlake stood out for their classic, timeless, beautiful photos. Never in our wildest dreams did we think that our photos could replicate anything similar. When the option of a videographer was made available we jumped at the chance. The videos are not your typical wedding video, they really are a story catching the sentiment and specialness of the day.
We got married in Marshwood Manor in Dorset during the summer. On the day Charlie and Tim were like an extension of our bridal party. They were just a pleasure to have around. I am a little awkward and do not feel photogenic but with Charlie and Tim I was immediately at ease. Some of my favourite memories of the day are of myself and my husband slipping off to have a little us time and have our couples portraits taken or rolling around laughing with my favourite people in the world trying to get a picture with some smoke flares. How Charlie and Tim made these look beautiful is just magic.
We received our photographs and video in a matter of weeks. When we opened our gallery we were blown away. The photos are just beautiful but way beyond what we had hoped. The variety of pictures was amazing and not only did we have beautiful photographs of us and our families but we also had beautiful photographs of all of our guests enjoying themselves. They really caught the atmosphere of the day. As soon as we watched the video, the tears started to flow. Tears of joy and of delight. It is something that we will always hold dear and will share with our children and grandchildren.
I just want to thank Studio Westlake in this public forum and would say if you are thinking about booking them..do it, you won't regret it. The only problem I have is now trying to find enough room on my walls for all of the pictures that I want to display.

Where to even start when summing up our experience with Studio Westlake?! We picked Studio Westlake to photograph our wedding at River Cottage, and the team honestly made our dreams come true. Not just because of the stunning pictures we received, but because of the energy, freedom and creativeness that came with the planning, the pre-wedding shoot, and the day itself. My Husband and I always felt like we could be ourselves in front of the camera, and any direction we received absolutely worked to our strengths and stylistic preferences. We had a pre-wedding shoot at Beer Beach in front of the general public, and we totally forgot anyone was watching; it’s actually one of our favourite memories together as a couple. On the day itself Charlie photographed the bridal ‘getting ready’ journey at The Pig At Combe, a part of the day I (the Bride) was a little nervous about because of the stress and the more candid style of photography, but Charlie was so careful and considerate of all that was going on and was actually my safe person in the morning. I’m also so grateful that he proactively took photos of the beautiful hotel, which will serve as lovely memories I hadn’t thought to capture.

Charlie is a photographic genius and perfectionist, through and through, and his work is an absolute testament to that. Not to mention he genuinely believes in romance, and the celebration of pure love and magic that a wedding day represents. Beyond the photographs, we feel so grateful to have had a photographer as warm, passionate, and helpful as Charlie. So many of our guests commented on his lovely energy, and it truly felt like we had another friend at the wedding, how many people can say that? We were looking for a photographer and found a (very talented) friend. We honestly can’t thank him or recommend Studio Westlake enough.

Choosing the right person to capture your wedding shouldn’t be an easy decision, but after one conversation with Charlie we knew instantly that it had to be him.

Not only did he have a fashion edge to his photography that added a touch of luxury, he was so easy to get on with and really understood the vision for our wedding in Corfu.

We also flew his Dad Tim out to capture a highlight reel and WOW what a video.

Despite very dramatic weather changes including an electric sky over dinner, Charlie and Tim used it to their advantage and managed to create a cinematic yet elegant mood that has blown us away.

We can’t recommend Studio Westlake enough and are already thinking about what we can book them for next. Lovely people with an incredible talent.
