Our Real Wedding
It was really important to us both that everything on our wedding day was on the same site. We wanted to make the most of the day and didn't want to be driving between venues or having our guests paying for taxi's to get back to their hotels.Having said that, we also really wanted a church wedding, so were over the moon to find Highfield Park with St Michael's Church right next door.
The Highfield staff were great the whole way through the experience and kindly held our wedding date until the church confirmed with us. In the lead up we arranged meetings to note all the details and attended the open days and wedding fayres to meet all our suppliers. All the hassle of planning was taken away with the all inclusive option - leaving only the fun stuff to organise.
The day itself was so much fun! We were really lucky with the wedding date as it was the day after Highfield Park's Christmas decorations went up (that tree in the staircase!!!) and the day before advent so were were still allowed fresh flowers in the church.
Continue reading »The staff were so helpful and had everything set up better than we could ever imagined and we were greated from the church with mulled wine, mince pies and fizz accompanied by the string quartet playing Christmas songs. It was perfect.
And we still have guests reminiscing about the incredible food!
