Our Real Wedding

Adam proposed to me on a beautiful deserted beach in the Philippines on a dream holiday we took in February 2018. We decided then that April 2020 would be our year to get married after having been together for 10 years since we were at school/college!

After over two years of prep we were 100% ready to be married - the flip flops were in the basket, the cake topper was complete and my dress was fully adjusted and hanging, hidden, ready for it's day. All our family and friends told us not to worry about the news of a virus slowly creeping across the world, but we couldn't avoid the feeling of dread that this thing might cancel our day. Unfortunately it did, three weeks before the big day.

Although we were devastated, we picked ourselves up and managed to re-book most of our suppliers for August - there was no doubt in our minds at that point that the pandemic would have passed by August.

August came, and we still couldn't have the wedding we had been dreaming of, but we really couldn't wait any longer after having been together for 12 years at this point, so we decided to go ahead with just our families present. We're so glad we made this decision. The day was intimate, special, relaxed and all our suppliers and family came together to make the day unforgettable.
