Our Real Wedding
Our wedding at the stunning location of Stourhead at Stourton Village, Wiltshire, followed by our reception and evening do at The Manor Hotel in Yeovil.
We wanted an autumn wedding, so this tied in really well with our ceremony location as it's renowned for its autumn colours. We paired this with burgundy and blush and we are so pleased with how this all tied together.
Stourhead is where Alex 'popped the question' so it seemed great to us that we could also get married at that same location. We both love the outdoors and with having the church overlooking the lake and scenery, it was a big tick off our list when we were able to get married here!
We were very lucky with the weather as the rain held off and the sun came out for our pictures around the lake making for a lovely autumn day for us, we couldn't have been luckier!
The Manor Hotel were brilliant, not only a lovely setting but a huge help with setting up and directing suppliers, to rearranging the room for the evening and directing suppliers as necessary. We were very lucky to find such a lovely venue with this support as this was in fact our second reception venue for our big day! The staff were fab and so welcoming and friendly! Our wedding breakfast of afternoon tea was a huge success with everyone.
Continue reading »One of our favourite things we had at our evening reception (amongst many) was our photobooth! This was a huge success, (even with the grandparents!) it was beyond great looking at the provided photo album with all the prints in at the end of the night and being in hysterics. This is something that we both agree was worth every penny!! If you're in two minds about whether to get one for your big day, don't think any more just book it, you won't regret it!
Needless to say, that all our effort and planning (including planning nightmares and headaches along the way) paid off and we absolutely loved our special day!
A little message to all you who are struggling with planning your big day, don't give up, you can do this. The clouds will clear, and it will all fall into place. Don't be concerned about anyone else, at the end of the day, the day is about two people declaring their love for each other and that should always be forefront. ❤️
