Our Real Wedding

We got married at the registry office (old municipal building, Taunton) who made us feel welcome and gave a very personable (and fun!) service that was perfect for us! If you aren’t happy to outside in public then you are limited for photo spaces, but there are some lovely park areas behind the castle and museum. The museum will even let you use their moat for photos but email first (we also dropped a small donation as a thanks!). If you do want to use the space, check with Taunton independent market pages to check whether it is already going to be used! The dress was from Izzy Stockton bridal. It is obvious she loves what she does and very affordable.Flowers were done by my close friend Maddy (wildflowerandbloom_flowers) who is amazing with fresh and dry flowers! Hair was by lavishlockswitholivia and makeup by rayne_artistry. Both have worked together before and make a winning team for a fun and efficient day! Photography was done by andycameramanns who comes across as professional and his assistant Beth came up with some lovely ideas for quaint pictures. They specialise more in natural/boho weddings with free moving photos rather than static poses. We had some issues with our first wedding VW camper hire as the owner of Mr Bojangles (booked through the wedding Car hire people) called to say he had Covid the day before. Neil was amazing though and managed to find us a near match replacement with little stress to myself and found Berties.transport who travelled all the way up from Cornwall to save the day!! Our celebration was at the holiday inn, Taunton. More for convenience than anything as the package included the room hire as well as discounted on hotel rooms for our guests. Staff were so helpful, especially when their central office messed up some bookings. The room looked lovely and staff were happy to help with jugs of water (for flowers) as well as other silly requests!
