Our Real Wedding

I know everyone says their wedding day was the best day of their life, but it’s so true! We’ve been married nearly 4 months now and I still look at our photos and videos every single day without a dry eye! As a bride, I can honestly say getting ready with your bridesmaids, Mum etc is one of the best parts of the day! It was such a chilled morning just giggling, telling stories, listening to music and getting ourselves glam. We got married in our beautiful local church in Stratton, Cirencester. The whole ceremony was so magical - I was a nervous wreck right up until I got to the door of the church and then everything just disappeared! I just couldn’t wait to get to the bottom of that aisle and see Henry. All our guests raised the roof when singing our hymns and the atmosphere in the church was just incredible - the vicar was so happy. After some confetti photos with our German Shorthaired Pointer at the church, we hopped in a beautiful Morris Minor and made our way to our venue in Aldsworth, Cheltenham - Stone Barn. We were greeted with a glass of champagne and had at least 5 minutes to ourselves to just take everything in and process the fact we were now MARRIED! It was such a surreal feeling. The car drive to the venue still doesn’t feel real! All our guests then started to arrive on the coaches and the day just got better and better from there. From our walk in song, to the speeches, food and all the way through to our first dance and the band all evening - it was truly perfect! It’s true what people say about the whole day just being a total whirlwind and the time just absolutely flies! We were pretty set on making our way round all our guests together and sticking to eachothers sides but that kinda goes out the window after a while as you’re pulled here there and everywhere with people wanting to talk to you!! - We had a ‘Day 2’ event at our local golf club where we did a huge BBQ and had a DJ. This was just as amazing as our wedding day but it felt way more relaxed and I was actually able to properly catch up with people without worrying about getting round everyone!
