Our Real Wedding
We got engaged in July 2020, and, soon after, started researching different venues for our special day.
We had always dreamed of a Christmas winter wedding, so this narrowed down our search. I also wanted to get married in a church, but Joe didn’t, so I thought we would struggle to find our dream venue.
Luckily we stumbled across Wotton House in Dorking - as soon we went to view it, we knew it was the one!
We absolutely fell in love with the beautiful Surrey Hills, the warm and inviting feeling, not to mention the most gorgeous ceremony room (The Old Library), which reminded me of the film The Holiday, with its country-fied feel, and I instantly could picture our day there.
Fast forward 18 months, and we had our special day on 2nd December 2022. We can’t put into words how perfect our day was, and we wish we could relive it!
We honestly couldn’t have had our perfect day without the amazing staff and wedding coordination team at Wotton House - everything was highly organised, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing! Just remembering to turn up was enough!
Continue reading »We had the most perfect weather; the sun was out; there was frost on the ground, and it was a crisp and magical day - the fireplaces were lit in the old library, the Christmas trees and fairy lights were up, mulled wine was on offer, the food was delicious, and overall, I cannot thank everybody who played a special part in our day enough.
We were so lucky with all the team and suppliers who made our day so special, but special shout-outs go to Ishika in the event team and Grace in the hospitality team at Wotton House for everything you did for us! To Hayley Bray Photography for the most amazing pictures - Hayley really became a part of our day (so friendly and amazing at what she does!). To Designer Cakes by Elle (Elle created the most beautiful, elegant and not to mention tasty cake we could have asked for). And to Jess Allam Beauty for our makeup - felt like an absolute princess!
