Our Real Wedding
We got married at the CocoaBean company in Twynholm on the 20th July 2024 after a year and 9 months of planning with our amazing coordinator Beckie.
Despite the non stop rain from morning until night, we had the perfect day thanks to our amazing family, friends and suppliers.
We were married by humanist celebrant Fiona Bryant who made sure our personalised vows and ceremony were extra special.
I purchased my Wona Concept dress from Opus Couture in West Kilbride and was in love from the moment I tried it on. The groomsmen hired their kilts from Anderson Kilt hire - our local store. The bridemsaids dresses were from Omnes and our 2 year old daughter’s dress was from an Australian company found on Instagram called Arabella and Rose. My bridal shoes were from rainbow club and my pearl jewellery from Lily and Roo.
Our wedding rings were from Monaghan’s - our local jewellers in Dumfries. Our day was captured by Milk and Cuddles photography aka Mac Weddings (Lauren and Laurence - husband and wife photographer and videographer). I cannot begin to describe how amazing they are and how at ease we felt throughout the day. Nothing was too much for them and they totally embraced the weather, using it to theirs and our advantage. The sneak peek that we were sent the next day went above and beyond what we expected so soon and we cannot wait to get the rest of our gallery and video back.
Continue reading »Kippford Classic Car Hire and their amazing Herald Triumph chauffeur service was yet another highlight. Beth, our chauffeur, picked my step father and I up from our accommodation close by and stuck around after the ceremony to allow us the opportunity to capture amazing photographs.
Our gorgeous bouquets, buttonholes and our daughter’s headband were courtesy of Kirsty Irving (Holly Hock). A mixture of dried and fresh wildflowers which matched our vision perfectly. We had the most amazing hair and makeup team, Hannah Mason and Ebony Black on makeup and Kishana Fernando who blitzed through 7 (and a half including our daughter) hairstyles in just one morning.
For our evening reception we were lucky enough to have our close friend, Ben perform before getting stuck into some ceilidh dancing before our DJ (Dumfries DJ Hire) began. All in all, we had the most perfect day and wish we could do it all over again.
