Our Real Wedding

The aim of the wedding was to have a tropical Christmas wedding. We met while both working in Malaysia so we wanted to bring the jungle to Holmewood Hall. My bouquet had ferns, banana leaves and orchids in it, accompanied by proteas to honour Matt’s South African heritage. The boys stayed at Holmewood the night before and I joined them at the venue at 11am the day of the wedding. My hair and beauty girls came and we got ready in the amazing bridal suite with my maids and flower girls. Our ceremony was at 2pm. After the vows we went outside to the bandstand for some lovely photos of the two of us. There is also an amazing lake for some landscape photos of the venue. Make sure a guest doesn’t walk into this lake in the dark later on, as it seems that can be possible. The day included so many other little things like sparklers and a beautiful first dance in the main hall. I really couldn’t have wished for a more perfect day.
