Our Real Wedding

From the moment we got engaged on Christmas day 2024 (yes we really are that Cliche!) our wedding planning and adventure has been a pure whirlwind of exctiement! Joshua chose his suit pretty quickly. A 3 piece with Waistcoat from Zubel in Bristol city center and Rebecca chose her dress from the Bridal Room in Westbury on trimm! Joshua decscribed stepping into his suit in pretty much the same Rebecca did in that they both knew that it was perfect for them the minute they saw themselves in the mirror. Joshua remembers beaming with delight at how he looked and Rebecca speaks of how her mum, sister and her all began to cry in perfect unison! We based our wedding on the popular MMO, World of Warcraft. We did it subtley with gold and blue as our main wedding colours and then not so subtley by naming our tables after popular locations in the game and having a logo from within the cake adorned onto the cake! Our flower story was dramatic as can be. On the way to the venue, at 9am the day of, our vendor called to let us know that the driver had been in a minor accident and would be unable to deliver our flowers. The panic began but we both had a lot to worry about already so I handed it off to the AMAZING staff, Shout out Izzy!, at Coombe Lodge and they managed to get the flower vendor to send out replacements that arrived just before our ceramony. Whilst they werent what we chose they were amazing and the crisis was averted! My favourite memory (Joshua) was seeing my bride walk towards me down the aisle. I hadnt seen her for 3 days beforehand and crazily in our ten (yes ten) years together we have barley spent a night apart. She was radiating and the most beautiful person I had ever seen, AND I WAS ABOUT TO MARRY HER!!!My favourite memory, I promise I am not being lazy here, (Rebecca) was walking down the aisle and gripping onto my now husband for dear life.
