30 Apr, 2022Our Real Wedding
We had the most perfect weather for our perfect day at our perfect venue, Old Wardour Castle.
when we started to plan the wedding we wanted a chilled relaxed vibe, without the usual pressure of having all the traditional elements of a wedding, but still wanted it to feel like a wedding! Our colour scheme was pastel rainbow, picked by my stepdaughter, people had their doubts, but it all came together so beautifully and I love all the pops of colour in our photos.
We walked down the aisle to the Greatest Showman acoustic medley as this is our favourite film to watch as a family. My new stepdaughter did a great job giving me away, or as we put it, joining me to the family that we have now become.
The day was filled with love, surrounded by our closest family and friends and we were so grateful to have them with us. The sun shone down and made the pictures even more beautiful. After our ceremony our guests enjoyed looking around the ruins of the castle and had a picnic on the lawns whilst we had our photo shoot, it was such a lovely relaxed time. The kids had the best time exploring the fairy garden and grotto and rolling down the hill of the garden.

We had a fabulous meal and then spent the night dancing the night away. It was honestly the longest but best day! It did all go so quickly, so my advice is to take it in, dont fret if timings go out, just enjoy the moments as they happen.
