Our Real Wedding

Scott proposed on the ice (on one knee!) at Somerset House whilst we were ice skating in 2019. It was the most romantic moment of my life and was captured on camera, so we have the memory to keep. At our wedding, we had a fairly intimate ceremony with 65 guests. I walked down the aisle to iGiorni by Ludovico Einaudi played by a live pianist on his baby grand piano that was nestled in the woods. We opted for an outdoor ceremony for a natural and romantic feel. Nerissa Eve styled our wedding day with drapes and foliage, lanterns and fairy lights. Our wedding was postponed due to Covid-19, so it was even more special that it took place after the 19th July restrictions had fully lifted, we were so grateful all of our family and friends could celebrate with us. For my dress I chose Valencia by Love and Liberty Bridal - a boho gown with oversized roses swirled all over with an ultra-deep neckline and open back. My sparkly veil was by Ashley Wild and shoes Freya Rose. For my bouquet, I chose white roses, lisianthus, eucalyptus and touches of light blue nigella and oxypetulum. At The Woodlands the couple stay overnight in a treehouse, which was beautiful. All of our day guests stayed onsite in the log cabins also, so it was lovely to see everyone in the morning for breakfast.
