Our Real Wedding

We are both lovers of the great outdoors, so we really wanted our wedding to reflect that. We married at our local church, followed by our reception at our favourite local venue overlooking The Roaches; the Three Horseshoes Country Inn and Spa, which we regularly visit for a good meal and a drink. We used all local suppliers and small businesses and kept everything low-key and personal, with a spring wildflower theme, small bouquets and flower arrangements, tables named after places we have visited, decorations including photographs from our trips together, and wildflower seeds as wedding favours. We got married on Easter Monday (22/04/2019) and were rewarded with beautiful weather for the whole weekend. We had a fantastic day and it flew by too quickly. Our venue and our photographer (James Andrew Photography) were just fantastic, keeping us at ease the entire time and ensuring everything ran perfectly. We enjoyed a 3-course meal for the wedding breakfast (the food was to die for!!), and a hog roast and cheese board for the evening reception. We enjoyed music from our brilliant pianist during the day (Karen Daniels), and entertainment in the evening included a disco from the resident DJ in the evening, being dazzled by Chris Stoke the magician, and live music from my very talented sister! Some of our guests stayed overnight in the onsite accommodation so shared breakfast with us the following morning, before leaving us to enjoy a mini-moon in the hotel and spa!
