Our Real Wedding

We decided to run off and elope after 16 years together but wanted to make it extra special. We got married at the beautiful Briery Wood Country House in the lakes with my parents and my 17 year old son for witnesses. Our time at Briery Wood was magical from checking in the night before the wedding to checking out the day after. We didn’t have to worry about anything we had gorgeous food and drink, the wedding planner was amazing and helped us with everything so we didn’t have to worry at all. We had the most beautiful weather so we could finally take our vows outside under the gazebo with my dad in tears of happiness that he finally got to give me away. We had a beautiful ceremony followed by a amazing afternoon tea and lots of champagne. We announced our marriage over social media that evening to the shock and surprise of friends and family, we had been together so long with no talk of marriage at all to them. Everyone was so supportive of our decision and I honestly wouldn’t change a single thing. We had a special day to celebrate our love together without all the pressure of a massive wedding, it was all about celebrating our years of love together and we can’t stop smiling.
