Based in Southampton, Hampshire, Award Winning Behind The Scenes Events is composed of passionate wedding planners who want nothing more than for your big day to be a roaring success! Founded in 2011, they have since taken on Hampshire by storm with their skills and attention to detail. Every planning package starts with a no-obligation consultation meeting where they figure out what will work best for you. Behind The Scenes works with couples in Hampshire and surrounding counties. BTSE achieved Hampshire Wedding Planner of the Year 2017, 2018 and 2019, and South East Event Coordinator of the Year 2021/22 and have featured in local, national and international media.

Services offered

Behind The Scenes offers a wide range of wedding planning packages, perfect no matter what budget you are looking at. These include a 'Not Sure Where to Start' plan, a venue-focused 'Attention to Detail' package, an on-the-day management 'I Do' package, a 'Final Furlong' plan that focuses on the last few weeks before your wedding and a 'Middle of the Road' Package for a busier couple. They also have a 'The Complete Package,' where Behind The Scenes takes care of every detail for you, an 'As You Like it' service, where you can combine elements of other packages, and a 'Guest List Management' service, where they take care of the invitations and guest accommodations.

We were lucky enough to bump into Nicola and learn about Behind the Scenes Events at a vintage wedding fayre. We needed someone to help do the set up on the day and help us source items to help decorate the room. I have to admit that prior to this I thought that having a wedding planner was a bit self indulgent, but was surprised to find that not only did it save time and stress to have someone helping you that already has tonnes more information at their fingertips than you, Nicola was able to negotiate with suppliers to pass on discounts to us. She also recommended several people to us - including our photographer - who was amazing! All her recommendations were spot on.

We wouldn't hesitate to recommend BTSE to others. They helped our wedding run smoothly and I could relax and enjoy my day without worrying about the set up. In fact a lot of the decisions towards the end I just left to Nicola as I completely trusted her judgement - her experience of helping couples create their perfect day was obvious from the first meeting we had.

We are really sad that our day is over now, and part of that is because we won't be working with Nicola any more - she's a star!

Nicola and her team were fantastic, they went above and beyond at every opportunity. Our venue looked amazing when they had finished with it, I would highly recommend them!! The cost of their services were very reasonable and at double the price would be worth every penny!

When we first booked BTSE I had no idea how invaluable they would prove to be. We had a small intimate wedding but it still required a lot of work and planning. Having Nicola helping was like having one of your really good friends around who just happens to be a wedding organiser! She really understood what we wanted and how low key, relaxed and personal we wanted it to be. She helped us take our ideas and then create that feeling and look whilst still making sure we didn't forget any of the essentials - and believe me when you are organising outside of a 'hotel' type environment as we were this is an easy thing to do...!
All in all, having Nicola there with the support of her team turned our fairly average church hall into a real venue of beauty! I can't recommend her highly enough. Really.

Behind The Scenes Events was there every step of the way for my party. Nicola gave me excellent advice about the decorating of the venue and did it beautifully on the day. She is very organised and leaves nothing to chance, making sure she has back-up if something should go awry. She oversaw the total event and did over and above her remit.
I would recommend Behind The Scenes Events to anyone who wants an organised, problem-free event at very reasonable prices.

Behind the Scenes is a highly efficient and well organised company that puts its customers in the heart of everything it does. We had Nicola as our wedding planner she was attentive and had a strong eye for detail, she took away my worries of dressing my venue as she listened to what i wanted and came up with suggestions to make it even better. On our wedding day everything was well organised and ran smoothly. Nicola really looked after us right up until the end (and even then she didnt stop) Without Nicola and the other members of the team (including the Chef-amazing food) it would not have been quite the success it was. People are still talking about our wedding 5 months on. Every Bride deserves Behind the Scenes.
