Hello! I’m Mary, the proud owner of Weddings By Mary.

I'm a down to earth,coffee drinking, dog mad wedding planner with over 20 years experience within the world of weddings.

I have a real passion for planning, a flair for organisation and love the logistics that comes with planning a wedding.

For over 10 years I was the Venue Manager at one of Essex’s premier wedding venues, which not only enabled me to build up a wealth of wedding contacts and inspirational ideas, but more importantly provided me with the ability to deal with the many and varied challenges that planning a wedding can bring in a calm and professional manner.

I have also had the huge privilege of being a Sessional Registrar; I was the one at the front creating the legal and historical record of the marriage. This has provided me with a greater understanding and insight into the legal requirements and procedures of a civil wedding ceremony.

Although Essex based, the beauty of my job is that it enables me to travel wherever my clients wish. Whether that is in the heart of my home county of Essex, the bright lights of London and throughout the UK.

My support team consist of my wonderful daughter, an amazingly funny husband, to whom I have been married to for over 23 years, and our lovable hairy hound Benson.

Most of my childhood was spent in various dance classes so you will definatley find me having a little boogie during the evening reception. I love a good book, especially John Grisham’s legal thrillers, taking long walks with Benson and love the company of family & friends.
